Evan,
Rupert, ID is about 10 hours or so from my house. I go through there every time I drive out to Laramie, WY. I will be out that way this summer also to visit my wifes folks. What is in Rupert on the 4th????

They have a little 4th of July celebration in what's left of the town square. I planned to spend more time with my uncle and visit him at least once a year now that my dad passed. I'm hoping to spend a week there and maybe take the 55' to the track.

My 82 Mark Cross "K" convertible had a four banger with 90 HP at the crank. 15 went to the AC so when I passed or needed extra ooomph I would push the AC button to the off position. We called it the "Turbo boost" giggling everytime we said it.

Most underpowered car I ever owned including my '65 VW bug.

I just went down and looked at my car!

I have this button as well. I can't wait to go try it out.

What exactly does it do? Just downshifts one gear?

Thanks,

It's a little slicker than that. The computer will put you in the best gear for the job, right on the better part of the torque curve or as we used to say, right on the cam. Click ZZZZZZZZZZAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAIIII IIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIII

That is the technical explanation.

You asked what it does.

It slams your eyeballs to the back of your skull.
Be sure the runway in front of you is clear before doing it and never try it at home!

Hey im new here but i own a 05 srt6. When i press the accelerator down all the way and do hit the button, i feel the car down shift and then go to the max rpm for that gear, but it doesn't seem to want to upshift once it gets there. If you keep your foot down on the button will the car shift up through the gears?

sure will but you have to keep it floored, otherwise it will just stay in that gear until your rpm hits stock shift point.
