Thinking of Making a comeback- SRT style!!
Been a while since I got rid of my Crossfire, let alone posted on here. Since then, I had an 04 G35 coupe -automatic for about 9 months, then traded it in on a 07 G35 coupe-6spd, (missed shifting) and then got an 04 VW R32 (live in Wisconsin- boy did this car come in hand this winter with snow tires. Second largest annual snowfall recorded this year, and possibly more on the way still!! Loved all three of them. The 07 G35 was a blast and even funner on on-ramps. Plus, what girl doesn't notice an 07 G35, waxed and shiny- This car got it's share of looks, thats for sure, and the R32, even though a bit slower, a great overall car, including storage capacity, plus, somewhat a sleeper. Get a lot of riced out civics expecting it to be a regular golf with exhaust.
But, I just found an 05 SRT- with under 4k miles for under 20k. Clean title, no accidents, etc. It's a coupe, and in my favorite color- Black!! The best color there is for a car (when well maintained)- My crossfire was black and loved it, unfortunately had to turn it in at end of lease. So, should I do it?
I've been debating the pros and cons, and the biggest ones are, what do I do next winter? Only one passanger again? No spare? (This sucks, VW doesn't have one, got two flats this year because of potholes) $500 down the drain. And the tires were brand new- only 1-2k miles on them when they went out.
And as far as a flat in my crossfire, just search for my old thread, even sadder
.
Pros- Power, Speed, more power- more speed-, Oh, and the car looks like none other!!!
I think im going to go check out the car tomorrow. I'll keep ya updated. Maybe next time I write I'll be the proud owner of a Crossfire- Again!!

Hey CfireKid, it would be great to have ya back, and in a black coiupe no less. Only this time with a little more power.
Everybody says they don't miss the manual tranny, at least not after awhile.
As for next winter...get yourself a Civic "beater". Dependable, economical, FWD so it goes thru the snow, and invisible. Makes ya feel like a celebrity in the spring when you get the Crossfire out again.

If you stop trading cars every year and stick with the VW for winter and the SRT6 for summer, you'll have the best of both worlds. Note my signature.
wow in 4 years of your driving you are going to purchase your sixth car? now that is what I call a car flipper like no other...
Yea do it.. you won't regret.. even if your buying it because of the bang for the buck it is still a top choice...
I agree with your thoughts on black...

I love just a few miles south of you in Chicago. Drove my SRT all winter (same record snowfall) with no isses. Lose the Vdub and get a unique, fun, powerful, special editin AMG!!!
Been a while since my last post. Just an update. I ended up getting a new Evo X GSR. Always wanted an evo, but couldn't afford the Evo Ix MR at the time. Got a blue one with sight and sound package. Just picked it up today, so I cant wait until the car is broken in,
I don't get how anyone can afford the insurance on those cars. I did a quote on one of the Evo's and I'd be spending $840 a year more on an Evo than a SRT6. Mind you I have a perfect driving record as well
Since I'm fairly new to the forum and posting I'm a bit confused. Should I post everything I've ever owned on here???
I believe my first right was a Big Foot Power Wheels, had at least .5 hp!!

I'm sure glad you didn't end up with the black Wisconsin SRT coupe - because I think I snatched it up for 19k and certified from Dodge City in Milwaukee!!!
What a great car!!!

Well I just post my first car for now......
1984 Chrysler Lebaron, with a sweet vinyl roof. I should say half vinyl and half rust. If I didn't warm it up in the morning the brakes didn't work. So when I used to pick my gf up for school, there were many times I drove right past her, funny stuff.

If you get a lot of flats buy from Discount Tire, they have a tire warranty you can purchase (for $17 each tire) that may be worth your while.
