And yeah, my cars are all over the place. Mustang-Crossfire-G35x2- VW R32- EVo X. All I can say is that the Evo is my first 4 door car ever. I can't wait until it snows!!
yer unintentionally hilarious, bra. when i was in my early 20's, i went through waaay more cars than u and even more girlz. but, i sure didn't tell everybody about it.
I found an SRT-6 COUPE for $18500, w/ only 14k miles not far from me at a dealer. The only problem is that it is the graphite grey which is my least favorite color of the bunch. I wished it was black, silver, or blue (in that preference order). But $18,500 for that low of miles seems hard to pass up considering the performance that you get. (maybe I'll just repaint it
) I know a carmax in the area has a black coupe (sorry, don't reall like the convertible look (unless the price was right), but they want $21 with 19k miles, or they have a silver for $22,500 w/ 11k miles, and they don't bargain with you which is half the fun when buying a car. I have rode in and drove SRT-6 before, and owned a base coupe so am familar with the car, but is it worth it? ( Going upside down on deal and I live in wisconsin so winters are out and would need second car) If the local car was black or silver or even blue it probably be in my garage right now, even if it was a convertible of these 3 colors, I could learn to like it. But Grey? (No offense to Graphite owners), but I just don't like the look that much. I look on autotrader regularly but there aren't any really close to me. I have been considering an 02-05 M3, which would also leave me with a back seat, but they are still considerably high in price if you want low miles. As far a maintance and repair and etc, I imagine it's similar to the crossfire ( M power = AMG). Only M3 advantage is the 6spd option. Getting an Evo has only left me hungry for more. I guess I could get a mustang cobra and mod it, or a stang Gt and slap a supercharger or twin turbo set up on it but damn mustangs are everywhere, just like vettes. Even though I love seeing a nice c6 or zo6, problem is I see them everywhere being driven like a prius by an old man having a midlife crisis
, might as well just bought a prius(no offense to you middle aged guys here)
Anyone know of a rehab clinic for car lovers? This is driving my crazy.

Obviously, I gotta disagree about the color. But beauty is in the eye of the beholder. Just don't paint it. It sounds like you're looking for a bargain and an Earl Scheib $99 paint job will ruin the vehicle.
Several of the SRT6s at the Woodward Cruise were black, and one owner said he would never get that color again because of the effort to keep it clean and swirl free. The others race them and didn't care as much. There were two blue SRT6s and they were beautiful.
Whatever you get, they don't really make good winter cars. Even with sand in the trunk. Especially an SRT6 with the extra power. Buy a winter beater and savor the SRT6 in the summer. Or drive it until it rots away from salt - that just makes mine more valuable. :-)
Trust me, graphite grows on you.

i drive my year round and it does just fine in the winter you just gotta know how to drive in snow which most people around here are frightened to even try. but my srt-6 did better in the snow than my srt-4 which was front wheel drive. that traction control wont let you go anywhere
Winter I'm not all concerned about. I had a 05 coupe with the ps2 tires ( drove neon in winter). The car would be garaged in winter anyways. Had AWD (R32) with winter tires for first time ever last winter. WOW, talk about fun. All my other cars before were RWD sports with all seasons. I couldn't wait until it snowed just so I could drive in it. Tons of fun. Obviously not quite the same as rwd donuts in snow (or dry).
As far as keeping black clean, I don't mind the work. Almost all of my cars were black including the crossfire. I'd actually like to open my own detailing business someday. Nothing like making a hot car even hotter with some good old elbow grease
