It has been fun...
Well guys,
Due to my Wife's continuing education, we sadly sold the SRT-6 yesterday. It was tough to let her go.
However, I think we made the right decision for our current situation and should have no trouble getting back into one in approximately 2.5yrs. Hopefully there are still a few low mileage ones available at that time, and reasonably priced.
With the cost of living increasing, high fuel costs, and the current market situation - I didn't want to get stuck with the car should something happen to my job while my Wife was in school (and unable to work).
The car went to a good home, along side a BMW-5 Series and a Porsche 911 'Whale Tail', amongst others. The new Owner is from Houston and I have referred him to this forum and told him about LET and the several Houston members.
I will still be around the forum as I have every intention of getting another one as soon as the Wife is a Physician Assistant and working. My co-worker also has one, and he uses the forum through me...so I'll be around.
Thanks for all of the help along the way and hopefully I was able to help a few folks as well.
Somewhat signing off (temporarily),
SQ

SQ, sorry to hear about this, but you probably made the right decision in the long term. I wish you and your wife well.
I'm glad you're sticking around, and I'm sure you will get yourself another one in due time.

ShawQ, Sorry for your loss. We know you will miss your baby. 2 or 3 years isnt that long and the benefits you are sacrificing for now will be paid back later. Good luck and stay around and visit.

Glad to hear that you and your wife have your priorities in order, and also that the SRT6 found a good home with friends to play with. Your enthusiasm and your knowledge were infectious on this site and will be missed while you're gone. But you'll be back -- you obviously recognize value when you see it, so you'll make the rational decision and rejoin us as soon as you can. Good luck, and please stick around....

I'm really sorry to here you had to let it go, but at least you didn't have big $$ in mod's to loose on it. Did you get a good price for it? I think I would have to dump the big o'l Dodge diesel instead, but a guy's got to what he thinks is right.

Good luck Shawn - (Well, actually good luck to your Wife)
In the long run - the sacrifices you two make for her education will be payed back many times over. It's just that time in between that's rough..

It will be worth it - and the way it is going, I'll be able to grab an SRT for little more than a song in 2.5yrs.
Now hurry up and pave the road to the 11sec. 1/4mile!

2 great things happened , you and your wife made a great decision that will pay off much better rewards than a car and 2nd - you've owned 1.
You can never miss something that you have never had!
So - I quess we'll all see ya around later

Shawn,
Mollie and I will miss seeing you and Tif, we hope in a few years you will be back. We think you did the right thing education is everything in todays world, we both gave up a lot for a long time, but today we are retired and enjoying ourselves. A little older, but a lot wiser.
Hope to see you both around again,
Derf/Fred

Sorry to hear you had to let it go.
I'm actually considering a similar move, to help make an MBA more affordable. Any suggestions on how to get the most out of her if I end up selling?
