SRT Love at the Car Show today...
Today was the fifth annual Georgia Tech auto show, which I make a point to attend every year I can, seeing as lots of GT grads go on to make disgusting amounts of money and spend a bit of it on really nice cars. The main difference in me attending this year's show and shows of years past is that now I have a car that I'm glad to enter and display.
I'll be honest, I wasn't even close to being the nicest, fastest, cleanest, or most unique car in attendance, but I thought it would be good to spread the knowledge of the SRT-6 a little bit. I got way more attention than I expected, especially considering I was across from 2 Ford GT's, a very blown Mustang GT putting out 1000+ at the wheels, 4 Ferraris, 2 Gallardos, a Bentley Continental GT, and several Lotuses.
Lots of people came by just to ask, "That's not a regular crossfire is it...?" To which I replied..."ha ha ha NOPE." I didn't go bragging about having an AMG engine, but people who actually took time to look the car over saw the supercharger and AMG logos on the engine and were instantly intrigued. So at the very least, a few people in Georgia are now educated about these cars. Also, one modded Supra that wanted a piece of me as we were headed home on the highway now has an idea of what a supercharged V6 sounds like as it walks away from him like he's standing still...
