Default SRT vs. EVO/STI video

There was this video on Youtube that I watched a while ago. It was some ricers videoing in their STi (maybe it was an EVO) street racing an SRT. It sounded like a man in this 40's in the Crossfire. The SRT won every time. Does anyone remember this video? Know where it is? Thanks!

There's no way that STi was pushing 425hp....if it was, man what a hog. I guess AWD cars aren't meant to really be drag cars

Most Subie guys lie about the power they make................and they are damn slow considering all the "hype" the STi's get. There are some fast ones out there though, my buddy has a 525awhp STi and it runs 11's on street tires.

My favorite part of that video is how they kept saying "we were dead even with that car! we were dead even with that car!" like it would somehow make it true if they kept saying it. LOL

That SRT-6 fed them their *** for breakfast over and over again.

Yep; that's the one with "the new Pontiac Crossfire SRT6," remember? At least that's what the written description says....

Had to watch it again.

They seemed rather surprised. I love this car.

That subaru was probably stock with maybe a tune and exhaust. Those young kids claiming 425 at the wheels need to put down the crackpipe. Without major work on an STi you are not going to get 425 at the wheels from that thing. It's hard enough to get 325 at the wheels of those things let alone 425.

I owned one a few years back and had tune/full exhaust/intake and a decent set of tires and the best it went was 12.9@103 with a 1.8 60 ft. It made 270 to the wheels with those mods. A stock srt from a roll would do exactly what it did in that video to one with those mods.

Those guys in the subie are definitely flamers. They absolutely knew nothing about our cars. Pretty funny. All about the mystery. They one kid said it didn't sound stock and must of had a V8. Lame. But funny. And another victorious win for our car.

No im not 40 but Iam 29, the race was on Pch Highway 1 cali....the sti I feel was probaly pushing around 385 because if you watch the beginning of the video we both flew by the stock black sti....my mod was a custom exhaust....but I didnt feel it was necessary to tell him about the exhaust mod! but it was way fun....I have such an oger laugh its great!

My WRX puts down 368hp/331tq but it varies between dynos. I have run a 12.47 @ 112 on film and with slips and backed it a week later with colder temps with a 12.21et @ 116.02 mph. I don't see anyway that car had 425hp by any means.

If you're putting down 368Hp at the wheels, then that would translate to
somewhere around 410Hp at the crank? Maybe the kid was quoting his
crank HP?

368 to the wheels and he shouldve easily taken the srt.....first My car had full custom exhaust good for 22 hp and 18 tq, second my car is less weight, and lastly he had THREE people in his car.......I had ONE and I account for maybe two being 6'2 and 250....but nevertheless his car was probaly good for about 350 360 to the wheels maybe 400 or so at the crank....it defintely sounded very good for an sti and have raced many of them around here! that was the only one even close to me!!!!! all the other sti's always have the same mods downpipe intake and a map....there all the same around here, but that sti was very fast and had good power despite what everyone on here says!
