I would love to see some pics and if possible some dyno results Stock VS Headers... Although I would lean more towards shorty headers that will bolt-on to the stock flange..I'm so low now that long-style headers might scrape and I don't want to re-invest in a totaly new exhaust setup.

LONG does not equal LOG. LOG refers to the shape of the runners. It is one long LOG with stubby runners leading into it. LONG refers to a full length tube header that is tuned by length. Tube headers are normally for mid-upper RPM power and improved torque curve.

For 5 people price is 999.99

Here is the latest news from VRP:

Headers will be direct replacement for stock manifolds. No cutting will be required and O2 sensors will be functional, just like stock.

Yes they will fit on N/A. Gains are expected to be around 15-20 HP.

Hey TVT ~

I'm definitely interested in a purchase.

I do have a question for you though. Will my ECU have to be
reprogrammed to adjust to the headers, or will the engine management
system be able to cope with the extra 15-20hp(hopefully!) for the N/A crossfire? I already have the Speed Innovation ECU tune, cat-back Borlas,
Evosport pulleys, gutted cats, Needswings CAI, Denzo Iridium plugs, Magnecor wires.... you name it I have it.

I am just not sure whether the headers will sync well with all the other
upgrades...

Any info would be appreciated.

Thanks in advance!

I'm always looking for more, I will be waiting on the dyno as well. I was in Arizona ready for the other headers and then it didn't produce and power. I'm hoping for a price closer to $700.00.

which other headers didnt produce power? were they on an n/a or srt6?

im really considering these tube headers but im almost certain or srt6's with large pullies will run lean and REQUIRE a tune and maybe bigger injectors.

We need a commitment of 5 sets to get this price. I will offer 5 or more people a 50% deposit on the headers that is fully refundable if, when they are released, do not make power, fit with too much trouble (anything more then unbolting something in the way that's not the steering arm and bolting it back in), or they require extensive modifications to run correctly (too lean, CEL, etc.)

If I could I would front the 5K to get in on the buy in and then once we had our testing done, send them off.

If you guys are interested and meet me half way I think this will be a very beneficial and cost effective upgrade for the community.

VRP is expecting 15-20 on N/A and 20-25 on SRT (expect a lot more for a pullied/intake/ECU car).

This could be the mod that puts the SRT over the 500HP with no juice mark and the N/A over the 300HP on stock displacement.

So basically this will be open for two weeks. I will close it on May 23rd.
so you got your 5 people yet? or have a donor SRT?

can the refund be applicable if it doesn't make a minimum amount of HP? i'd be pissed if i pay for install and full cost and found that i can't qualify for refund cause it makes 1 lousy horsepower...

how much is the installation?

We have received 0 interested people for this offer. Yes the offer applies if the headers don't make more then 15HP let's say.

Vadim was offering a good deal on installation for the first Crossfire willing to try it out in the South CA area, but we had no one express interest.

When they are finished we will have a set that we will test fit and dyno. If we can still get a break on the price we'll pass it along to the community.

Im very interested. It is the next step on my mod list including injectors and a tune. But, none of us have seen a single set on an srt6 so we dont know for sure what power gains will be had or if there will be any fitment issues.

I for one can swap headers in my garage with no problem, plus i dont live anywhere near CA. Its getting very hot here and id hate to put in the labor to see them have fitment issues or not make signifigantly more power.

Well, im pretty sure theyll make the power but the fitment is the main thing. On top of all this i will be building an exhaust system under a different configuration from my current setup. I will be modifying these headers but just slightly. If he would be willing to make me a REALLY good deal on a set and can garauntee with 95% certainty they will fit out-of-the-box with no clerance issues i would be the first to take the plunge, take pics, and report back with dyno results.

It could be the push needed to get the ball rolling for the srt6 community to really be interested in headers like we all were about the bigger crank/smaller s/c pullies 3 months ago. Sooner or later if you want more power, you will have to upgrade your headers.

The result is posted on benzworld.org. They were log style headers and lossed power on the car. I blame this mainly on lack of fuel and partly on design. The same person that offered his car for those pulleys is the test car for these.

So we kind have results from Vadim, the reason I say kind of is because we really only have the results in changing from a LOG style header to a tubular style.

LOG style: 356 RWHP 348 RWTQ

TUBULAR style: 361 RWHP 348 RWTQ

That basically tells you that tubular worked better for that combination. I wish they would've tested against stock manifolds, as that is what I was expecting. But there you go.

Thanks for the update.

I was going to purchase a set and provide numbers vs. stock, but then my low boost issues occured, so all attention/funds are going torwards that.

Blue graph is stock 32, green is what the car dynoed when we got it and red is now.
