FYI For the 181 pulley that I had the water pump wall where the belt hits, is a thickness is of 0.057" read with a digital indicating verner caliper.

**********BTW The key is shown in the right photo below my water pump pulley. You can see the dimensions if interested. Enjoy, Woody ***********************

Yes, the 181mm water pump pulleys are ready. The 185mm water pump pulleys are not going to be replaced because of no failures to date.

It seems to me, a 185mm pulley owner, that it is obvious from our previous statements that we to have faulty pulley fears. Why would a company say that they are waiting for someones car to become stranded or sevearly disabled before they are willing to replace a poor quality pulley for a customer that shelled out good hard cash to buy their product. If at the time one of our pullies flies apart will you be willing to also pay for towing, a new belt and any other damage the failed pulley has caused? I am not willing to be the first to have his pulley fail.
There was no dought when I put your product on my car that the pulley supplied was far thinner and the 90 degree edge much weaker than the stock pulley. Please tend to this problem and replace the inferior pulley with a better design before mine goes. There is nothing like taking a car for a drive wondering if today is the day it desides to fly to pieces. It is almost as disheartning as have $1200.00 parts sitting on the floor of your garage because you know that only time will tell when poor design will disable your vehicle.
Thank you,

Sorry, with 0 failures to date, and the fact that I have had the exact same WP pulley on my car for almost a year and 20k miles with no issues, I can't issue a recall until there is reason to do so.

The fact is, the 181mm WP pulley is much larger than the 185mm WP pulley, and is therefore weaker. The WP pulley was designed for the 185mm setup. It was my mistake to make it larger without making it stronger, thus the recall was issued.

Again, no issues have been reported by any 185mm pulley owner.
