You sold your TA and the SRT is a "MORE ADULT CAR" . Just who are you trying to convince. LOL Just busting your chops.

Have fun and enjoy your adult XF. I can't stop LOL.

If you don't already have a radar detector............ go buy one. Secondly, change the brakes to Gold Rotex. You will get tired of cleaning the front rims very quickly.

Have fun. Tough to be an adult in an SRT though.

Heh, "adult" is such a relative term. It is tough though, I don't believe that 330hp figure at all. Gotta be upwards of 350.

Thanks for the tip on the brake pads. I think I'm going to get slotted/drilled rotors all around as well.

I have a BEL detector that I've had for about 8 years now. It still works pretty well, however I am in the market for a new, cordless, variation. Since the Xfire only has 1 power outlet, which is used for a TransPod FM transmitter, I need something battery powered. Any reccomendations?

Not sure about drilled rotos. Both of mine are slotted. (My 18 yo daughter drives the one w/red accents and the lambo doors). She probably drives more adult like then I do.

Actually, I currently reside in both Portland, OR and Princeton, NJ. So you're not alone, at least not for another 2 weeks!!

Nice to hear there's another SRT around. I have an aero blue SRT and I live in Phoenixville. Seems to be more and more popping up in the Philly area.

[quote=PhillySRT]Greetings fellow Crossfire owners. I just joined this site as a proud new owner of a Sapphire Silver 2005 Crossfire SRT-6 Coupe. According to the CarFax report It was a repo that was recently auctioned and has only 2,800 miles on it, so it was a complete steal.

I finally settled on it after driving a LOT of other cars including; Nissan Z, BMW Z4, Infiniti G35, Mercedes SLK, and a few more. I have to say, I literally shed a tear trading in my Red 2000 Trans Am that I had for the past 8 years and 99,000 miles. It was simply time to move into a more "adult" car before it started nickel and diming me. It's kind of crazy how emotionally attached I could get to a car.

Anyways, I think I made a wise decision as this thing is an absolute beast on the road and a beauty to look at. I'll get some pics up shortly.

So I look forward to chatting with all of you about Crossfires and driving in general. I've read some posts and everyone here seems very cool, laid-back, and willing to help one another out. I'm not a motorhead, per se, but I am a geek, so hopefully I can be of some use on technical matters, audio/video stuff, etc.

Talk to you soon.

- Welcome to the tribe! I know how you feel re: trading in your TransAm!!
I had a 500HP 383 Lingenfelter C5 Vette: Talk about BEAST! I got hit (rearended into a concrete culvert by a drunk at 45 MPH..OUCH!) and the car was totalled! I still have my 2006 E55 AMG and the Vette was my "toy"! I love my SRT6..has all the smells; moves; power..and refinement of my past AMG's! Nuff said!!! You'll love the car! Now just wait till "Performance upgarde fever" hits! LOL! I'n feelin' the fever already!!!
