Looking for advice...
Ok guys. I just sold my SRT4 (pending til next week) and I am considering buying a SRT6 or the new Camaro that's coming out in the spring.
I need a play car, but here in pa it sits in my garage from Nov. - May.
The RS/SS comes with 422hp (LS3 motor) but its *** is a bit heavy at 3800. I love the looks too. . .
I have enough cash on hand to buy a 6 out-right. . . No need for finance. . Or I can put 15-20k down on the Camaro. . . Then finance 15-20k. . .
If I purchase a used 6. . . what are the issues that I should look for?
Thanks for the advice.. I'm just looking for some input.

Obviouisly biasted towards Xfire here but.... No doubt you will have to pay a premium to get the camaro and then if you wanted to sell it within a few years you'd take some heavy depreciation. The SRTs have already been hit with depreciation and if you wanted to sell one you probably wouldn't loose much.
Of course the Camaro seats 4 - I think.
... you might consider a SRT6 Roadster ;-)

Those were my thoughts too... More of a hard top guy myself here...
I was also thinking. . . It would be easy to get the 6 up in HP to beat the Camaro. . At least cheaper than 15k. lol

like svo said the big question is what you will have to pay to even get into a camaro the first year of production.I came out of a stage3 srt4 when i bought the srt6 and i got to say i like the 6 more. The cars are a blast to drive and the crossfire crowd is one of the most helpful group ive ever been around.
I like the new camaro as well. I'd say buy the six for now, enjoy it for 2 years and by then the msrp will get to normal on the camaro. If you stay under $20k for a low milieage one, you should be able to still get $10-15k for it in 2 years. That's saying they keep dropping. It's not there is an endless supply though. Once they run out prices will level. If you get a camaro next march, you'll be lucky to only lose about $15k in 2 years on it. I know that's when I plan on getting one. It's the same for the new mopar, too much sticker inflation until they sit on the lot for 6 months. Either way I'm not sure even with the bigger motor they will be able to hang with a slightly modded six.
