under the valve covers
Re: under the valve covers
these were dropped off to the head shop that does all our porting for us. they have been on/off the flow bench about a dozen times and are awaiting one more step before they are ready to be installed. we are very happy with the flow number so far but think we can get a little more out of them yet. secrets to be devulged after the next step is completed.
Re: under the valve covers
so far...
full port and polish (equavilant to a stage 3 port/polish)
fully reconditioned
fully polished chambers
backcut valves
deck milled with a CBN cutter for proper RA surface finish
4 angle valve job on a serdi machine with less then 0.001 runout
valve tips have been corrected
new valve stem seals

It's the most accurate method of guaranteeing that your heads are as perfect as possible. There's no better way to machine out valve seats and guides.
I'm more and more convinced 10's or better are this summer!

Based on the new numbers off these heads how much horsepower do you feel we have left in these engines, be it supercharged or turboed?

I would'n't get too convinced yet, this mod "MAY" pick up 15hp or so, it has been done before by me and a few c32's. These heads are already near perfect stock, not a lot left in them. And 10's or better without an extra power adder, 100% no chance regardless of engine work. Too much computer involvement in the rest of the powertrain.

Pretty sure a bigger blower, small adjustment in the stroke, slicks, a good driver and a diet would do the trick...
lol just saying 100% no chance is defenetly 100% wrong
