SRT travel experience
The wife and I did a several day trip to the northshore of MN. and BAYFIELD ,WI., which are both tourist traps, but beautiful destinations. We took a roundabout desolute route because I wanted to test some of the Crossfires attributes. Hwy. 1,which is about one hundred miles is length , is an asphalt road with lots of sharp and hairpin curves. I was able to travel " safely" at 80 mph on the short straight s tretches and I doubled whatever the posted speed was on the curves. The SRT performed flawlessly. The SRT was a conversation opener whereever we went We had men and women , and young boys ,ages 7 to 70 approach us or give us the high sign. We had two Crossfire sightings ,neither of which was an SRT, during this mini vacation. In fact, in all of our travels over this past year, we have seen only one other SRT, and that was at a Chrysler dealership in St. Paul, Mn.

SRT-8AZ, you could try putting in the adjustable Koni's and higher wall 18" rear tires and wheels to smooth up the ride. I took the stock SSB SRT6 for a 3100 mile tour with my grandson in June and had no issues at all with the ride. I did several stints of 200+ miles without stopping and felt fine. (Just make sure you go pee before you leave!

Well, I have never driven mine for more than 3-4 hours at a time. The roads in Virginia are TERRIBLE, especially in the area between Newport News and Va Beach. I can deal with the car, but I'm ready to get out after a 45 minute drive down I-64 to Va Beach. The expansion Joints literally look like speed bumps and stick a good 3-5 inches over the road surface. The car will literally JUMP off the pavement over these things, I wonder and dream of smooth roads....
My dad and I drove mine from Dallas TX to Portland OR, we traded off every couple of hundred miles or so. It was a grate road trip for the both of us, but he did get a little beat up hear and there, at the age of 65 I think he did really well. Also I think the continental conis have a better ride than the pilot sports. I have had both and I would recommend the conis for the every day driving and long trips and the p/s for the fun stuff.

If you travel a little more south we might bump into each other...
I tried to purchase a SRT aero blue cpe. from Fury Mtrs. on Concord St back in about Oct. 2007, however they wouldn't budge off $22,000. so I walked away and ended up buying my SRT from a Chrysler in Atlanta Ga. Plus I was more interested in a roadster, which I ended up getting. The irony is that about a month after I purchased my SRT roadster, Suburban Chrysler had an identical one on their lot. Jim

Last time I was there they had a used SRT10 on the floor and two limited XF's out front going for 28k apiece.
I was really happy sitting inside that SRT10
SRT-8AZ, the AZ roads are great for road trips. The AZ rubberized asphault is very forgiving. I drive up to Showlow all the time. No real beating. You should join us Nov 8th. Hopefully we will have about 20 X-fires. We will do the Sedona, Cottonwood, Jerome area. This hook-up last year was fantastic. We will get people from Canada and East Coast joining us. Check out other site for more details. One member even made a movie. I believe itis still on youtube.
