Front license plate
Hey to all, I am enjoying my less than 1 mo. old to me SRT-6 coupe and keep learning much from this site. My question after viewing many photos is why do some of you have to put (and drill holes for) a front license plate, when mine purchased in OR only has a rear plate? I'm not complaining, just curious. Thanks, Tomygun

Many states require the front plate to the disdain of those who would rather not have them.
The crossfire does not have a place for front plates so in states that required them, dealers attached or gave the new owners a frame to mount, somehow, on the front.
If you are buying a used Xfire from a front license state you may have ugly holes in your front bumper to fill.
It is possible to mount the frame lower using the pop out lower grills. Takes some hardware and engineering, but it can be done. (check out pictures of my SSB roadster in my gallery). I used very long wing ding toggle bolts and plastic washers and nuts.
Some owners refuse to mount a front plate. Who can blame them. But they chance a ticket and harrassment by the local PD.
If you live in a state where the front plate is not required, lucky you.
Hope that answers it for you. Good luck and .....
welcome to the forum.

Tommygun, Oregon requires front and back plates. I dont have one on the front of the Aero but do have both on the SSB. I think I got a ticket for the Aero when they ticketed me for parking in a loading zone. The ticket said ' parking in loading zone. No front plate'. The ticket was $60 which I think is high for just the parking. There is still no front plate on the Aero.
