Raced a 1998 Vette... (on the streets, eek!)
Well if you know anything about me from reading my posts its that I'm timid, anti-social, scared and never ever races his car because I hate having eyes on me. You'll never find me at a track or driving anything without dark tint lol.
Anyways, yesterday a beautiful 'vette pulls up and the guy is staring at me. I see it out of the corner of my eye but I don't look at him. I figure if he goes then I'll go but only because its quiet and at night. Probably only 4 or 5 cats will get run over as opposed to 20 during the day, ya know?
Light turns green and his engine roars so I slam on it.
My tires spin so traction control kicks in, I let off, we're side by side, traction control is gone, so I slam on it again.
Within a second its officially not a race. I steadily put 1 length, then 2, then 3, then 4. 80mph and I'm still walking away so I let off. He slowly goes by and I see "98" something something on his plate, so I knew its a 98 vette.
I speed up and we give each other a thumbs up. End of story.
Anyways............. I felt good for the rest of my night
What a frickin car this is.

You'll get used to your car and have even more fun. With some practice you will feel comfortable turning off your tc and feather the throttle as you launch. Some of the faster cars won't allow you to let off or it's over. That's a small number of stock cars. 19" drag radials will solve that TC problem. You'll really enjoy all that power then.
