Default Fan Kicking In?

On my way to school this morning, the temperature was 66 degrees. First of all, yesterday when I was driving the same route, I noticed that my low tire pressure monitor was on. When I got home, I checked each tire and all of them were in the 30-32 lbs. range.

So now, this morning, I was sitting at a red light and I heard what sounded like a fan or something kicking in. It stayed on for maybe 4 seconds and then went off. I usually have the radio on, but I don't think that I've heard this before. Can anyone fill me in?

My low tire pressure light came on a week or so ago (its getting a little cooler in the mornings around here). I checked all the tires, fronts were around 34-35, rears were 31-32 so I put another couple of pounds in them. Restarted the car and haven't had the light turn on since. I haven't pulled out the owners manual, but I'm guessing they have to be over 32.

My car make the same sound for a few seconds then shuts off like yours. Usually right after I get off the highway. I'm sure its just a fan or something, its normal... no worries.

There is a fan TSB out there. On the tires, I get the light in the winter as well. I've had to put my tires at 36psl in the winter. Summer can be as low as 32 and won't get a light.

66 degrees, did you have the defrost on/

Was the heat on as there a second I/C 'LIKE' pump to feed hot water to the cabin heat exchanger, located below the passenger headlight.

Enjoying, Woody

Mine does this all the time. It will kick in for 10 seconds or so and go off regardless of how hot or cold it is. I think its normal?

Nope. I had no defrost, AC or heat on. But, since it's (hopefully) normal, i'm not worried about it. Just worried me. Thanks for the responses!
