Suggestion for forum
So searching and reading over countless pages over the last few days I thought about something.
How come stickies are not used more often here? Ive read countless pages about different mods for this car, many where people argued, and numerous threads about mods I dont even fully understand.
So I see a lot of the older members say "use the search, search first, ask questions later" etc etc.
Well why not have a few stickies at the top of the forum that answers the repetitive questions you all hate so much?
Not only would this get rid of repetition, this will allow all the good info and great debates to be contained in a few posts. This will also prevent you and others to have to weed through posts looking for that tidbit of good info you heard about or cant seem to find.
With all the different "versions" of mods, opinions, suggestions I think it would be a benifit to new members and old members alike.
Just off the top of my head something like this
-Modification Basics Sticky
(a sticky to cover the basics of the mods for this car, past, present an future, maybe a "10 step" process for mods, failures, upgrades etc.)
-Cold air intake and air filter discussion
(a sticky to cover the different aftermarket intakes avail, cost, proven dyno numbers, what this does to the motor, etc)
-Pulleys
(again, a sticky to cover who offeres what, what each one does, cost, reviews, links to vendors, results, HP, why one is better than the other etc etc)
-ECM, Tunes, Computers, Chips ETC.
(same thing, a sticky that covers the basic of the tune, what it does, what it removes, what it costs, who does this, websites, price, previous tunes that were avail and why they no longer are, etc)
-Intake manifolds
(same)
-Exhaust systems and headers
(same)
-6 speed swaps
(same, I know this is your FAVORITE subject)
-E85 discussion
(something I would like to see myself)
-Cooling mods, heat exchangers, intercoolers, pumps replacements, etc
(same)
-ETC any more topics you vets see needed
Again this is just something that I thought of while looking for info on this "rare bird" of a car, there is not a whole like this out there.
This seems to be one of the better sites for this car. So with all the vets out there who know a bit more, if you are sick of seeing the same questions, or would like some more concrete info yourself, why wouldnt you want something like this?
I dont see why the vets here would have a hard time contributing to these stickies, so why not make this the premier site (yes I know, only 3000 SRT-6s made) for this awesome car?
I guess if I already had the knowledge I would have no issue throwing these topics together and then asking to have them sticked or sticky them myself if I was a mod.
Feel free to share your thoughts
I know, im just an over zealous owner.

This was already discussed. You should have searched!

Good idea. Maybe one main thread with offshoots from there. I know I want a VIN thread sticky for the SRT.
