Default SRT6 vs Regular Crossfire rear

I spoke to Gary about building a posi unit for the SRT6. The question is, is the rear carrier the same on both cars? I know the gearing is different but what about the differential. Also if anyone has a spare differential he would only need it for about 2-3 days to see if he can build a limited slip differential.

I did a simple SEARCH and found this.
You started a couple of threads in reference to rear end stuff.
Just what are you up to anyway????

I want a real good limited slip differential. Since quaife doesn't make one, Gary Peloquin in Geogia said he probably could. He would need a pumpkin to check the size and see if everything would fit. Obviously if the regular crossfires have the same pumpkin with just a different gear ratio, then there would probably be a pretty decent market for a top notch LSD. If the demand is there then I sure he would go a head and make us one. Now if we can confirm that they are the same, I will get a rear and send it down to him or he can maybe find one in a junk yard.

I have a complete spare unit out of a base model crossfire that I pick up for the shorter gears. It measures out the same, but I have not put it up in the car. I'd be happy to have my unit be the test product.

Just send it to Gary, regardless of whether it is limited or SRT6. In my opinion, he should have access to both types. Just make sure he knows which one he is making, so when he makes more for other people, he knows what he's actually selling!

If it is the same exact rear with only a different ring and pinion there would be no point, obviously the LSD would work in all the crossfires.

I don't think ya get it - Peloquin does not have a single XF diff, not limited, SRT6, or otherwise. So my point is to send it in, regardless of what type it is, and if they are identical then all the better.

Yea I get it but you said send both, he will only need one case to see if it can be done. BlackSRT-6 has a spare to send to him, If he doesn't want to send it then I'll try and find one at a junk yard, not gonna pull mine because car is do over at Kooks Headers Nov,11.

The differential housing is equal. The ratio is at SRT longer than the base model. I have converted my SRT with a 60% differential lock and a modified ESP software with 100 %-ESP-OFF function . Supplier is Väth in germany (www.vaeth.com).I'm very satisfied, because the acceleration in wet road is much better.

So Gary Peloquin will have the SRT6 diff to test?

Progress!

When I get my winter beater up and running.... If no one has sent in a SRT-6 diff and he still needs one, I can drop mine out and send it in.
