Where to buy a replacement battery?
My Battery went dead and will not take a charge. My local Chrysler dealer wants $153.00 for the OEM Mopar battery. They state it is a special size, has lowered top mounts, and vents out the top unlike other batteries.
I checked with Auto Zone and Nappa and discovered that neither carry a replacement battery.
Does anyone have an option?

Take the measurements, cold cank amps, and pick one up at Walmart. They have sealed batteries for 79.00. I bought my battery for my wifes viper there 9 months ago and it has been fine, plus it has 3 year full replacement no pro-rating

I have tested this battery since April this year, and no problem at all.
But, dont let the car stay to long, 2 - 3 weeks, without driving. I have
a battery charger that i connect to the battery when the car is in the
garage to long time.

Ill let you in on a little secret. The OEM Benz batteries are Interstate batteries. Call an Interestate retailer and ask for Mega-Tron battery that will fit a Crossfire and it will be the OEM battery $100 cheaper.
That is exactly what I am getting, MTP-91. When I saw the pic of it, I thought it looked familiar....little red square over the pos terminal and all.

Good battery, saves some space, save some wieght and not a bad price.
Perfect if you are just looking to get the car started.
There are several batteries that are the "same" as this one. Dynabatt, scosche, odyssey, etc all the same size, weight, similar model numbers, and price. Im pretty sure they are just made by one manufacturer and sold off from there.
I want to thank the contributors to this thread. This morning, I went to back my wife's xfire out of the garage and the battery didn't have enough juice to start the car. I looked up this thread, went to the local Firestone dealer and picked up the Interstate battery. DieHards and Interstates have always been my batteries of choice. The MTP-91 was $99.99. Within two hours of discovering the battery problem, I had it fixed.
I just wished I had noticed the little lift up handles to get the battery out before I pulled it out. That was a *****.
The MTP-91 is a 85 month battery too.

Checker auto aka schucks or kragen, stocks autolite battery part #4884 for the SRT6, $90. Also, bought my car used and it has a Duralast part #48-DL, $95 in stock at most autozones.

I must have 25 batteries and the Optima is the ONLY one that I don't have to maintain a charge on. It has been in my 70 Chevelle for years. The car sits for months without being started yet EVERYTIME I do go to start it, it cranks right over. All of my other cars (17) I end up jumping or charging the battery to get them to start.
I'd buy a dozen of them if they weren't so expensive!
