Where to buy a replacement battery?

"perfectly good" Optimas.
I dont doubt that several had just "died"
Beside the price for them, the 45-50 pounds that that weigh are just two of the reasons I wont buy another.
Optimas are like any other specialty product, there will always be bad apples.... Its like some of the pricey huge screen HD tv's. I bought a huge one that many people have complained the bulb goes out every 3 months. I'm at 2 years and mine hasn't even dimmed. I'd imagine most people have the same luck as me.
Anytime you buy something that is specialty built for a purpose above related items, you'll get some bad apples, and you'll also get more passionate consumers buying them who are more likely to report their bad experience.
I would never buy optima simply because theres no reason for it... Maybe if you store a car they're better, but I'd rather just hook up a trickle charger. Autolite batteries have always done me well. And this generic nasty duralast in there, marked 03 of 2007, seems to be working just fine.

My new Interstate MTP-91 battery came in yesterday. I went out to start the SRT to go pick it up, and of course it wont start.. Connect the charger and set for 200 crank amps and it fires right up. Got the batter installed....by the way the MTP-91 is shorter than the stock. Car fired up just fine, but it was warmed up. This morning I go out and try and it fires up just fine. No CEL and P0335 CPS error!!
I will monitor it for the next few days to be sure.
These cars do some wierd things if the voltage or current is not correct. My other cars would give me funny gauge reactions when a battery was going out (swinging wildly, odd readings, not working).
