Default IS350 Vs. SRT-6

My firend has an IS350 with an automatic tranny, 350 hp, 290 lbs of torque, and a full carbon fiber hood with performance tires....he says it is fast and says he will beat me, im set to race him tomorrow...any thoughts on what the outcome might be? my SRT-6 is stock but even stock these cars are pure BEAST..

Honestly, I think he will, Power to Weight ratio...

IS350 - 11.5

SRT6 - 9.9

Unless he has alot of subwoofers in the back, a full carload, and is a fat@$$...I'd say it's about time you grabbed a pulley, CAI, Retune, and up your cooling system.

Then beat him by 4 carlengths while he goes..."WTF!?"

All kinds of win right there.

I have no idea what those are capable of, but if he has 350 tot the wheels you might be in for the big L, lol. Whats he got on it that it makes 350? Your buddies seem to prefer luxury sport cars, first the 335 and now an IS350.

I think this wil be a close race but i have a feeling u will edge him like u did to the 135i. U have slightly more trq and he has an extra 15kw on you but has an extra 100kg of weight. i can see you beating it, we have a few of these is350s here and they arent that fast although your mate has mods i can see you walking away with the W

Well, I don't know, but since he has that CF hood, he may win!

If he has any Sparco, TRD, or Eibach vinyls, watch out...and if he has a streetglow decal. you're done. just don't race.

PS - can ANYONE tell me why I saw what was obviously a debadged corolla today with an "SS" badge on the back of it?? I mean, "S" I could understand (I.E. corolla S ) but....c'mon, crossbranding?

they run low 14s/ high 13s at best, especially an auto. you should pull on him at least a half car to a car.

No contest. Don't embarrass the IS350 too much.

I hope you were joking about the what you said.....? stock for stock the srt6 will take it by 4 lenghts alone....with pulley, cai and a retune WITHOUT a cooling upgrade would make it look like a stock civic racing a corvette.....GET A CLUE MAN!!!!!!!! its obvious you have never driven a srt6.....!

dont worry the 350 is heavier

Why don't you go out and get some practice launching. If you have any spin on takeoff you giving up a fender or more. Remember you don't have to slam it from the get go. Get a good takeoff and then slam it. He'll be spinning and you'll be pulling cars. If you do spin and he's more than a car ahead then let him go. Set up a new race, you don't need to slam into someone pulling out trying to catch him. By the way do all your racing in mexico.

you know, that win gives me pause.... i believe it was 'car and driver' which tested the IS350, and said it was doing a 13.5quarter mile. now several car review magazines CLAIM their SRT-6 ran 13.5's, and 13.6's. i'm starting to think they don't REALLY test some cars. i mean, there are people on here who have run 12.9's STOCK in SRT-6's!!! i think they are calculating our quarter miles, not actually testing them based on that bulls%^ 330hp number. when i first purchased my SRT, i took it right out and raced all of my friends' cars. i stomped my buddies porsche cayman S, a pontiac GTO, infinity G35coupe, BMW 760i, SL500 etc. and i was still STOCK!!!!
maybe their poor track times were from those horrible Continental tires.......(got rid of those before i even picked the car up....)

okay, thank-you for letting me vent.
