Default SRT-6 Wing

Wanted to know if there is a way to put the retractable wing from the regular Crossfire on the SRT one.

This question has been raised before. I believe the answer would be yes but you would have to push the button to raise it. No provision on the SRT6 ECU to raise when appropriate.

You can REPLACE the fixed SRT wing with the NA pop-up wing, but as mentioned you will have to have a switch to raise and lower it. This has been done by someone on here.

You would have to buy a whole different mechanism.

These cars from the start were not wired to have the retractable spoiler.

The easiest, and least expensive way to make this switch would be to find a rear hatch from a salvage vehicle. Most Crossfires are totaled by front end damage I would think, so a good rear hatch shouldn't be impossible to find. Check LKQ

Then again there is the story that the fixed wing on the SRT 6 was used because the retractable wing was too slow to deploy. Boat tails are inherently unstable without the extra downforce.

Begs the question: why would you want to? It's nip and tuck for looks on the roadster but the coupé looks much better with the fixed wing IMHO.

Cheers

There was a complete rear hatch on ebay from a wrecked coupe, do not know if it sold. Seller stills has other parts listed may check it out.

it does look good on the coupe but i have the convertible, the big wing (spoiler) looks kinda of cheesy.
Thank you all for the help.
Cheers,
Ron.

Nobody needs the SRT6 wing.

I converted my SRT Roadster and my SRT Coupe.
(Spoiler at the function as the basic model.)

You have to invest in something:

- extendable spoiler
- Cable
- Chrysler crossfire Spoiler switch
- New Body Control Unit (BCU)
- Lots of time to find the matching Mercedes connectors

My Spoiler do work automatically !
I have mounted an additional startech rear spoiler.

Talking Re: SRT-6 Wing

I have been thinking, yes again, could I get the SRT wing to move. Specifically it would flip up like a sail when I nail the brake hard, g switch maybe. That would be for more downforce and Much more drag in a high speed slow down.

The Chapparell (SPelling ) was configured like that and I believe Phill Hall drove it for Shell. Anyway it was disbarred for having too much advantage on the road courses.....Just the thing for me. Now that would be aerobraking for sure.
