Yahoo 11's Finally
Yahoo 11's Finally
Yep got my mani's back all finished up and on last night. Also breathing a little better thanks to Rob .
Here are my times.
1st pass 12.008 @ 117.473 spun tires
2nd pass 11.976 @ 116.755 good run
3rd pass 11.983 @ 116.366 good run
I'm happy as heck, but left some out there on the track. The air was perfect and I was ready to get a good bite into the 11's when a turbo buick launched and broke an axle immediately and crossed the center and smacked a kid with a new honda civic SI. I was bummed because it was getting hotter and my DA was going away quickly.
Oh well, I'm representing the SRT6 family next month at Famosa Dragstrip against the MB big boys. I really hoping for some negative DA and make some noise.
Fun on the side. An E55 that I invited from the MB board came out to have some fun. The owner let myself and another forum member make some passes. They made some nice passes in the 12's and asked if I would drive his car. I agreed and got the burnout and launch down on the 3rd pass, and laid down an 11.88
Yea to the 11's.

Yes there is 100 octane at track. Saturday the 3rd is part of the Hang Over Nationals. Each day is a new event. $60 bucks to race and $2000 to the winner.
Another thing that Buick took out was the 60' lights when he rolled over it. So I don't even know what my 60' was. Now that bites.
Here is a pic of the pass from my zeitronix. Sweet numbers. I do have video but still looking for usb attachment. Will attach once I get it loaded.
Thanks all and especially Rob for helping me get there.

Do they sell 100 at the gas stations in town?..............the Rebel stations here in vegas have them on tap across town for $5.99/gallon. That's all my 6 runs on and she loves it.
I think I'm gonna finally break down and buy a damn laptop so I can FINALLY datalog with my Zeitronix setup to get the tune tweaked to perfection like yours.
Re: Yahoo 11's Finally
congrats again! i think you have the least amount of mods thats broken into the 11's
untouched IC system
untouched exhaust (except for the o2 bung for the wideband)
you can also do it on a $20 ebay palm pilot, $15 zt2 pda cable and $40 palm software from www.pocketlogger.com = much cheaper then new laptop.
the laptop makes nicer graphs and is a little easier to use but the palm is much more convenient and hidden.

Cool; thanks for the tip. I have been putting off spending the $400 on a laptop because it would ONLY be used for datalogging..........your route is much better.
Re: Yahoo 11's Finally
I have both and like both. Cheap palms too. One is a M100 and the other is a Zire71, each under $50 bucks on ebay.
Rob I forgot how stubborn I was about keeping the stock exhaust and cooling system. Your right, it's so much sweeter.
Mopar my tune isn't tweaked yet, just wait and see what I have ready for Famoso. Rob is working overtime for me. Now you guys see why I push NW so much. My current tune is ultra conservative because I bracket race so much. Famoso with be a very hot tune, then I'll go back to this for the race season.

Re: Yahoo 11's Finally
Temp was 48 to 54 degrees, only day out of the year to have the perfect conditions. When we got to the track it was 40 degrees. DA at that time was 505'. Unfortunately they wouldn't open the lanes until it warmed up and was a little safer. Well the buick hooked up and ruined it for all of us. DA remained in the 1000's all day, once went to 2000' but lowered to 1700'.
Re: Yahoo 11's Finally
Congrats man!
What was your 60ft, and what octane gas were you running?
Were these passes with the NW intake manifolds installed?
One more thing, let me make sure i have this right...in 48-54 degrees ambient temp based on your zeitronics datalogger you are a 12.20 to 1 AFR @ 6128 at 18.4psi with the 178mm pulley...is this correct? Was this in 3rd gear? Where does it get the AFR readings from?
