Just wanted to vent my enthusiasm after having a friendly steet drag on the highway last nite. It was my first race with a car i thought warrants respect if beating, it was a 335i. I iniated the race whilst on the highway, i wanted to do a 3 beep count but he wasnt aware of my intentions so he put his foot down well before i did, I responded and within a second or 2 felt i was up to his speed, after that i started creeping up on him slowly. We had 3 goes each time with him being overly eager to jump gun before i was inline with him first but the 6 always managing to make up for lost time and creep back up on the 335i. There didnt seem to be too much in it, however im convinced stock our cars are faster. Especially entertaining on my part as my friend is getting a 135i (same engine less weight) this month and we plan to do a thorough comparison test to feed our egos :P

 

Oh yea...Last month someone in a 335i was in front of me with no one in sight. Of course it was a no passing 1 lane and he thought he would just pull away...Couldn't believe how fast I came upon his rear end! Gotta love these cars!

 

I really really do love this car, i get excited each and every day to finish work just so i can drive my car haha.
With your 1/4 times u would be eating M3s for breakfast!
I was abit dissapointed we couldnt have a fair enough race, i found 80mph onwards the 6 really started dominating, not sure if that was my perception or fact. It was good fun either way

 

If you want a more fair race, do it on the track not highway.
