Ok, some of you may have noticed that my car was posted for sale. Well, I've reconsidered. Why buy a new luxury four door for 35 grand when I have a rare, extremely fast, exotic, sports car that has low miles and is paid off? For much less than a new car, I will just get another decent, used daily driver and then customize the SRT. Well, the community on this forum is great too!! Yep, I'm already in the process of ordering some goodies for it. I haven't seen another one quite exactly like what I'm going to do. There is one that is very similar, but hopefully my measurements work out correctly to give me the stance and look I'm going for. It will be subtle and a look that could have come out of the factory.

Stay tuned, in a few weeks, I should have it done.

Good news....Glad you are keeping it. That means there is one less SRT6 being "given away" and adding to the decline in value. If we all just banned together and flat out refused to sell our cars for less than $25K...much like the Toyota Supra guys, we can CONTROL the market and stop these prices from going lower.

 

If only we could, but with an economy in shambles and people now having to use CC'ds to pay for groceries, job losses and the like, I think a few are being pushed to sell the nice to have items to keep the need to have items like food on the table.

Aside from the loss in value, the real value never changes for the xfire enthusiast! Hopefully things will get cheap enough so that I can get free parts from bying another xfire just for parts!

 

Well, hopefully, Chrysler maintains a stock of body panels some how some where.

Should get the goods in a couple of weeks. It might not be as big a change as I was hoping for. Was going to do wheels, but the offsets of the ones I want won't work. Oh well, first things first. Still going to do some suspension work first!

 

Scratch that last one. Ok, ordered all of the goodies! Next time I post pics, the car should look very different! Think low (no, not just a spring kit), a bit more aggressive, classy, with a could-have-come-like-that-from-the-factory look. Well, if everything goes right.

 

Preach it brother. The market will eventuall recover(we hope). This will work, although i know its inevitable some people will be forced to sell due to econimic reasons...

 

Glad to see your back. Something to be said for having a car paid for. It will be interesting to see what you do with the suspension. Waiting patiently I think...
