Default How to safely remove an SRT6 wing???

I looked for about an hour and a half to see if I could find the proper way, if there is one, to remove the SRT6 wing without damaging anything but came up with nothing. I figure it has to do with that little screw underneath the hatch handle and probably partially to do with some forceful pulling but I just wanted to make sure before I break anything. If anybody could direct me to the thread that has that in it or could be kind enough to share with me how to do it I'd appreciate it.
Thanks,
Brandon

I'm actually sending it to cwsrt6 so he can use it as a mold for a carbon fiber version of the SRT wing. But while I'm at it I'm gonna deal with the rust underneath the wing, which turned out to be pretty substantial unfortunately.

The title of this post piqued my curiosity. After reading, I removed my spoiler to find rust underneath. Arrrrgh! The poor design is rivaled only by the cup holder. I'm going to bring it to a body shop, have them address the rust and then use a silicone sealant to prevent water from getting into this area again (something Chrysler should have done form the beginning). Off to check the door sills next.

For someone who has removed the wing, PLEASE put it on a scale and weigh it for us. I'm sure there are a lot of people curious as to the weight of the stock wing...

Luckily I removed mine a didn't find any rust. I loaded it up with a rust proofing grease and reinstalled it.
Didn't get the weight though.

KJ, before you do anything about your wing, take it back to the dealer. I know "Melspank" and "Randy" in FLA. had theirs fixed under the rust warranty. They purchased their cars brand new, but I don't know what Chrysler's policy is about dealing with rust if the car is with a 2nd. owner.
Still, cars in Texas shouldn't be rusting, (unless of course they're by the Gulf).
Good luck.

+firemax,
I may try to bring it by the dealership tomorrow. I'm the first owner and have been religious about washing and waxing. I've lived in Florida and Texas and the car has not been exposed to road salt or other harsh chemicals, but the hot humid environment is conducive to rust formation. The greatest fault lies in the design.
Anyways, the moment that you've all been waiting for.... the spoiler weighs 7.6 pounds.
