does anyone have a ecu that i can have
I would like a ecu (computer) from a wreaked, (Totaled) srt-6 I need it so i can have a freind explore it and maybe find ways to increase fuel, increase power, increase mpg and make the tranny shift when you want it to both manul and with the slap stick, and other things thanks jim
there are 2 regular crossfire ecu's on ebay but no srt6
call inmotion tuning to see if he can reflash them so they are the same as the srt6

I think the transmission is controlled by the seperate computer TCU
at least that is how it is on most cars.

The N/A motor runs BOSCH ME 2.8 ECU, SRT6 runs BOSCH 2.8.1, these are not interchangeable.
If you are reading the ECU out of the car you will need some debugging software and a BDM tool.
If you need some help with sourcing this stuff just let me know and I'd be more then happy to help.

In order to reverse-engineer an ECM, what has been done on other makes has been to read the contents of the memory (in some cases it's on a removeable chip) and use a de-assembler to determine what the code started out as. You will need to know what processor is in the ECM - hopefully it's a standard microprocessor and not some custom OEM-specific version. The de-assembler turns the machine-level instructions into readable code (if you understand machine language). And of course you will have to separate data from instructions, a symbol table really helps there. An ECM bench also makes the process a little more manageable.
