'06 SRT-6 at the track!
Just got back from the track. Lots of good eatun's and noob racing is now history. First run was against a drop dead beautiful Neon stage 3 with all the bells and whistles. Real nice guy too. Yummy! Next was a Subaru WRX that wanted me. Munch! For the 3rd and 4th run I removed the grill. Red lighted against a 70's Datsun or Mazda or something of the sort with slicks. But I ran faster without the grill. The last was against a Toyota Tercel or something equally forgetable with nitrous. He made me wait and wait and wait. The last run the car was HOT and the windows were fogged up from the long wait to run. He was all show however. Man I wanted to eat his lunch for being a jerk. For all the noobs. Watch the videos of Distant Pulse. I thank you profusely my man. Seeing how its done really helped me out. Removing the grill DOES lower the times. I need the new bigger filter. Needswings, I'll be calling. Had a great time. Forget that wussy dyno. My car is for real. Only mods .. needswings intake.

Great story. If you get a tune on top of that, I am sure you will see 12's all the time. It is great fun and I have enjoyed going to the track and enjoy the company of Blkfin and 240. Are you the only SRT in the area? It is a blast to have others there with you.
Re: 06 SRT-6 at the track!
Your definately already capable doing 12's. Just from your 109mph is easily 12.90's or even 12.80's. Those high mph are from the tire spin. You'll probably see you 12's with 105 mph.
Are you driving around the water to do your burnout? With streets you don't want to wet your tires. Also when you drive around the water back up to get enough space for a nice burnout without crossing the staging beams. Just don't back into the water. If driving through, make sure your fronts aren't picking up water then dropping onto the rears when you launch.

I'm driving around the water. Doing a burnout in 1st for 3 or 4 seconds then shifting to 2nd for 2 or 3 more before letting off the brake and spinning forward. No dry hop. Back to 1st for staging. The WRX ran a 12.9 at 102 but I crossed the line 2 or 3 cars ahead of him. He claims to be stock, but then says its not running right in 3rd and 4th so he was taking it easy.
I rushed to the track from work and forgot to air up the front tires so I hope with 45lbs in them I'll squeak into the 12's. The track is open for street cars Thursdays so I may go again tomorrow to see if I can keep numbers dropping.
Oh and the car is a star at the go-cart track. 30 people showed up on sunday for the event and I got lots of laps in. To make a long story short I finished in the 10th slot. But what's really amazing is most of the cars were on auto-x tires and at least 6 were trailered in. And here comes this blue SRT-6 with a driver that never has been on a circuit in his live are beats cars fully prepared. And it was the car more than the driver.

Re: 06 SRT-6 at the track!
I've been doing a little checking on the conditions last night. The track elevation is 14' above sea level, it was 77º with a 6 mph headwind. Dewpoint 66, Barometric pressure 30.01.
What it all means someone will have to tell me, but DA always comes up so I thought I'd post what information I found.
Just looked it up and entered my best on dragtimes. DA was 1384 I think.

Weather permitting I'm hitting the track with my secret weapon to get into the 12's. I started the diet and have lost 5 lbs. (driver mod), car has 1/4 tank of gas and I'm wearing the secret weapon, my Needswings T-shirt! It's got to be good for a couple of tenths at least! Car is wearing a fresh coat of Adam's wax and is loaded for bear.
