I don't know. I think you should paint it graphite. The SRT that is.

I think the intake looks excellent and so does the black grill.

Now you just need the front engine cover back in place and you have the perfect sleeper

Have you ever thought about getting a CAI to help your times when you drag race? I bet that would really help you down there in FL.

SL55 is a cold air intake both tubes feed in front of the radiator.

Lol I am well aware of that but if you look at the Y there is still a big restriction there and if you take off the grille and look the "holes" where the air goes in they are still quite small as well. A CAI has the filter right there in the front of the grille where it gets plenty of fresh air and there is no Y restriction.

Every little bit helps, he is still better off than stock now but a CAI would help even more.

What Y is a restriction?? The one on the throttle body that is plenty wide. If you take a 3" tube and compress it to an oval shape it still flows the same amount of air. Also it doesn't matter how big the filter is infront of the radiator the biggest restriction is going through the radiator opening. You only flow as much air as your biggest restiction. I've dyno'd 377hp with the 55 Boxes and others with similar setups and with needswings dyno'd the same so I doubt there any difference in the CAI set-ups. The cars that are maxed out are 377-380hp. Supercharger limitations and fuel issues, it's not the CAI.

I guessed you missed my SL55 install write-up - here are the major points:

The Y is 3.5" reducing down to 3" at the TB (both of them)

The intake tubes are 3" (both of them)

The openings at the radiator support are the same size on every Crossfire - N/A or SRT6

The way I looked at it when researching intakes - the AMG SL55 supercharged V8 engine is rated at 493 HP @ 6100 RPM at the crank when equipped from the factory with this intake.

If (and I say if) an SRT6 were able to make 400 HP at the wheels - conservatively that would be 472 HP at the crank, giving plenty of margin for further modifications.
