The openings at the radiator support are the same size on every Crossfire - N/A or SRT6

The way I looked at it when researching intakes - the AMG SL55 supercharged V8 engine is rated at 493 HP @ 6100 RPM at the crank when equipped from the factory with this intake.
If (and I say if) an SRT6 were able to make 400 HP at the wheels - conservatively that would be 472 HP at the crank, giving plenty of margin for further modifications.

The only way you can compare is to take a srt6 to the dragstrip, make a run with the sl55 intake then swap it for the cai and then make another run and compare the times as long as there was identical 60's etc.
I still say it a a restriction with the Y (you measured the long end, how wide is it?) and all the turbulance with the way the pipes are ribbed and so on. Glad you like yours, I would not run it though.
Start another thread if you want to argue about it so AMX's thread is not taken off topic.

It's not like trying to compare our V6 to a top fuel dragster? - Lol

Good work Jim. I found that I like it better with it off. I see you had to notch for the two front screws. Other reason for leaving it off. Your car looks VERY nice.

Lol, they are 2 different engines, one is a V8 and one is a V6. They make different hp and torque numbers stock and you can not compare the 2 like that. It is apples to oranges. You would need to test the V8 with the stock intake and with a cai and then you would see if there was a gain or not.
You can not say 2 engines are the same just because they are from the same company and are the same displacement if one is a 6cyl and one is a 8cyl or if one makes more power than the other or if one is designed differently than the other lol.

Those lower grilles look so much better, I need to paint mine to match my upper grille. Do they just pop off with clips?

see the hole next to the point of each one ,,you put a small screwdriver or the tool that comes with the car into that hole twards the point and release the clip,, then it slides out,
