HEADERS! Our headers are made of 16 guage stainless (no mild steel thin gauge junk) We even had the flange that connects to the exhaust made from solid stainless block! (we will also sell these seperately)

The other flanges on then engine side are 3/8" (most others are 1/4")

They will soon be avalible for the SRT6 as well as the C32, and pricing is looking like it is going to land under 1k. The headers are actually all going to be test fit on the spare engines to make sure quality control is up to par. I know we all have seen other ones come out that don't really fit too well!

Let us know your thoughts!

How about the Limited non-SRT6. Anything down the road.

good idea....

we actually are in discussions with a Dyno Dynamics dyno right now....

I love the idea of the dynopack, only problem is that when trying to sell product people want high numbers.... Even if they are not on a very accurate dyno....

Cleanup agreed. Final product will be mint.

Check post 17 in this thread, Sowardcustoms works at a dealership.

Did you actually read the thread?

i could care less what the headers look like, charge me less money for ugly headers that give more power! horsepower is DEFINITELY the selling point on these babies!

What kind of performance gain can we expect on a NA that already has a CAI, ECU custom mod, and larger injectors?

Seems that previous xfire header designs have produced minimal HP gains. These will have to generate some decent gains for people to drop $1K on them, and install them (not an easy task on the xfire). One thing I loved about Mustangs, lots of header choices, and even the best ones were under $400 and easy to install (compared to the xfire)

yup, just like we were told our exhaust wouldn't make power because no one else's did...

Agreed, that the mustang folk have it easy with cheap parts, but then again if we had thousands of crossfire owners that modded their cars we could easily afford to lower prices with mass production!

Hey Jake,

Just an observation but those primary's look pretty big. I am not a header designer nor do I claim to be one so please just hear me out. I realize that the primaries are probably the same size as the exhaust port but I have a theory that by doing this we are suffering from "More's Law". After seeing 240's VRP headers losing torque and only gaining 8 HP I started to think about the size of the primaries as being the culprit here as I have never heard of a piston driven engine that couldn't gain from an efficient header(s) setup.

See in my CAD-like attempt at a primary tube with a contoured step down to increase the exhaust velocity. I was checking out the long tube headers that EVOSport built for the 6.2l V8 and you can see this being used too (highlighted in red). I'm not saying that is why these headers made so much power because they are afterall long tube headers with Burns Stainless merge collectors, but I'm sure it did help in keeping that exhaust haulin' *** through those tubes.

Another benefit of using smaller primaries is that there would be a bit more room to snake those tubes around, not much especially on these R170 chassises but I'm sure it could help.

Dynojet 224xLC, Hands down the best affordable dyno out there for a shop.

You defenetly want a eddie current load cell Dyno. Dynoing Turbo'ed cars without a Load Cell is a absolute waste. Load Cells help keep the dyno tune just as consistant off the rollers as it is on.

Dyno Dynamics are way to easy to skew in my opinion, and are very hard to replicate run to run.

Jake - wait, I'm confused a bit. Do Dynapack tend to yield even lower numbers than Dyno Dynamics? I thought I'd heard Dyno Dynamics tended to be the lowest results you'd find, and Dynojet among the highest - but I frankly don't know where Dynapack falls in that mix (different design, regardless).

www.dynapack.com

I've only ever run on DJ's, because that's where I started - but I would be intrigued to try out a Dynapack shop sometime. Regardless, good luck w/ your search - I'm sure it'll be a like a kid at Christmas once you guys acquire one

comparing dynos across platforms is a age old argument that will never be settled.

Dyno Dynamics are easy to fudge the numbers on, both intentionally and unintentionally. Dynapacks lose credit to alot of people due to the lower rotating mass.

I hope they make gobs of power, but the proof is in the pudding, and I'm getting a sweet tooth

They worked. There were put on a SRT6 last weekend. tri-zombie had them put on his SRT roadster, he can attest to the dyno numbers.

15hp/20tq from the headers w/ stock exhaust and stock ECU I believe were the numbers. Jake from Eurocharged can better attest to them.

I know Jake has long tube headers on his C32, but I think they were running into issues with long tube headers for the SRT6.

Needs long tube headers with quality merge collectors.

What about the O2 sensor bongs?

I don't see them, and the stock logs have O2 bongs
