I need some help!!
Hey guys,
Is there any tricks to removing the old SC pulley? I removed the bolt and washer. Is there anything im missing to remove it?! I have been trying for 40 min and no luck!
I tried spinning and pulling. I tried a rubber mallet. It is just stuck on there. Thanks!

I just grasped the pulley by the grooved surface. Next I shook my hand up and down then side to side while tapping lightly on the rear edge of the pulley with a plastic dead blow hammer. It eventually slid off. I had to use the same jiggling motion to put the new one on.

That is what I did too, mine came off and went on easy though. I think it took me about 5 minutes for the swap so I was lucky.
You can use a little bit of WD40 in there to help get it off just be sure to wipe it off good when you get the pulley out of there.

Remember WD40 is not an oil.
The term WD40 stands for (water displacement formula #40)
While everyone knows it does offer a bit of lubrication it isn't the best this situation. Fact is it can actually lead to a stronger bond between parts by allowing them to slide into a "cocked" possition easier then drying losing any lubricating factor that it once had.
Please no arguments on this, I'm sure someone has a story about getting their Uncles' hand unstuck from some piece of farm machinery with good ol' WD.
Just try "penetrating oil" should help it slide off.

i used a strap wrench to keep it from moving so i could take off the pulley. So much better then the little rubber pad thing code3 gives you. I was able to take it off in a few min with the strap wrench.

Took me a minute to get that stock pulley off as well.
I broke a strap wrench installing mine. I finally went to a friends garage and got out the impact gun and that was that... The darn bolt WOULD NOT come off. Once I got the bolt off, the pulley came off with a few taps from a small hammer.
I used the strap wrench. LOL that part was easy!! Trying to get the pulley off was a *****!!! Turned out that there was some crud buildup on the shaft itself. I used two small flathead screwdrivers and wedged them in between the magnet and pulley an slowly worked it off. I also used some lube.
51k miles on it may have had something to do with it! :P
good call Woody, but mine came off very easily, and new one went on just as easy...15 min job at best...then went out to the road and with a little help from a couple of deputy friends, 0-160 in 9/10ths of a mile...without tune at that time....haven't done it again with tune...
