I keep reading all these posts about how powerful and fast the srt's are........how about those that got spanked at the red light? Anyone want to tell us about the one(s) that beat our a__?

 

got spanked by a Viper in Newport Beach one time. lol

Obviously i knew it was coming but how often do you get to race a viper?

 

I get to race one often it is my wifes car, and the mods in my sig beat her.

 

Got beat by a c6 Z06 at the track, but he red lighted so I guess I actually won.
Got beat by a Z28 camaro with cam, heads and bolt-ons plus a big shot of nitrous.
Got be by a 600 bike, I thought it was a slow one but it actually ran 10's.
Got beat by a turbo S2000 from a roll, he makes 700whp, but i think he was on his 550 tune.
Probally gonna get beat by some more cars today at the track since I didn't have time to change my plugs and no nitrous.

 

This was a stupid race but i couldn't give it up. I got beat by a Lamborghini Lp640 roadster from a 80 roll on 95 near miami.

 

I figured I would get pestered alot with this car around here in south Florida (live in Boca, work in Miami). But people don't fvck with me.

 

Still had to be fun to watch him run away

 

Tried louring an older gent and his lady into a run on the way into work. Was an older 911 Turbo. Have no idea what year, late 80s? mid 90s? No clue. It was black, clean, and I felt like I could take him.

No bite though.

 

Haven't lost a street race yet, but I also don't race on the street much. For some reason, mustangs always want a piece and they all ended up in my rear view. LOL

 

Full bolt on w/ meth and a 20G turbo STI. From a roll. We were side by side. Then he got a re-tune. Not so good for me. haha

 

Yeah it's always the same with the GT Mustangs, they always buck up and then get walked. I'm really surprised I haven't encountered a really strong Muscletang yet, as there's a really famous Ford tuner closeby, Modular Powerhouse, that puts crazy power into those cars.

Oh, only 2 losses ever, and that's including racing every other SRT car save the Jeep and Viper, 10 or so Muscletangs, a few Camaros (one SS...close race), and shaming the hell out of countless Hondas and Nissans. Anyway, I lost to a late model M5. Pretty badly. He had at least an exhaust as that's all I heard as he drove away from me...

The second, and worst I've ever been beaten was by a heavily modded GTO 6.0. Encountered him on the highway in ATL. Car looked good, yellow with black wheels, hood, and trim. All I know is that his turbo kit was HUGE. The blowoff valve nearly busted my eardrum as he walked (sprinted) away from me like I was driving a Chevy truck... cool car though.

 

Last week i wanted to run a few cars, and i did , beat a mustang gt,, beat a trans am,, and afew more don't remember them too much,, here is the one i lost it was a gunmetel gray , nice rims ,on street tires,parked on the side of the staging lanes,, so i said you want to run me ,, he said ok,, now we wait for at least 30min for cleaning of the track, among other things,, now we get to the starting line,, as the lights start down we both ,wanting to be the winner,, all of a sudden i see out of the conner of my eye his car start to move,, ( he red lighted) , boy did he leave early,, anyway i had to go now because he was way out in front of me , i was already on the floor with my brake on ,so i let it go , i started to gain on him but just couldn't close up the gap, he was about 5 car lengths in front of me,, i was saying to myself so what he red lighted, i picked up my slip,, he ran a 12.2 @ 112 with a 1.68 60' ( with street tires remember) and i have DR's,, when i looked at my slip, I also red lighted and ran a 12.6 @ 110 with a 1.84 60',,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, I had just gotton beat by David srt-6 -----------------jim

On the street I have never lost a challenge................now the track is a different story. I've lost to a 10 second Honduh Civic, blown C6 vette, 8 second dragster, 9 second Evo and last time out barely lost to an 11 second Nova. I'm sure there were more cars as I race at the track as often as possible.

 

I have not lost on the street. I do not get challenged much either. To date, I have only raced a 2002 SS Camaro, Mazdaspeed Miata, BMWZ4 and a Boxster. They all saw my tail lights!

 

Got beat by a little old lady. But I still say if the guy driving the ambulance hadn't used his siren and lights I could've taken her.

there's a 2007 or 2008 black viper with black wheels rolling around here that is just beautiful. i may think twice before running him now!

 

2002 RT10 with billy boats and high flow cats. Roe supercharger is probably in the future if my wife decides it's time

 

J-fire thats a long as* list of mods, maybe the longest on the forum! You got every angle covered-- looks, performance,ride control, even a V-1! pretty impressive !

 

thanks MD! it's definitely my money pit. a car worthy of such a title as well. the ridiculous thing is, i still have more mods to come!!!(4 more just in april)
i will say this, the V-1 is not as good as others though. i had a Beltronics STi before, and it had features and aspects i liked better. i may be switching to the new Escort passport with GPS warnings for speed cameras. having them hard-wired is also i think 'essential.' i've been told by officers that it will 'tick off' a lot of Deputy-Doughnuts if they see your radar on the window, or see that you don't even bother taking it down
