Default GIR 12.2 (stock tune!)

Mods are ASP pulley, Ram air/cold air intake (projectmayhem),Brian Braves IC coolant separation.

and a teaser shot of the intake ( thank you needwings for the filters!)

Temp was 55 dropping to 51 that night around 85% humidity, they normally put calculated DA not sure why they didn't this night. So does this make me the fastest stock tune srt6?

When i finish making the intake all pretty i'll show the engine shot but lets just say dual 3inch intake into a well built merg collector makes a huge difference. Had i been on some slicks or good drag radials i have no doubt i could of pulled a 12.1

Let me be the first to congratulate you on great runs. Also kudos to you for the twin intake. Rob said two are better than one. Way to chalk another outstanding record for the ASP 178.

Post the times of your run and the track. GIR? and I'll calculate the DA for you.

Looks like the 12.2 was at 21:15 where are you going to get your stats to calc the DA?

www.dragtimes.com then click tools and scroll to DA Calculator - Density Altitude Calculator. Choose your track and date and then find your closest time of day. Click that and it gives you a close estimate.

If you were racing this past saturday at 11pm ish, there was some crazy humidity. This is your conditions.

Track Elevation:410 feet above sea level
Air Temperature:37.4 degrees F
Barometric Pressure:29.31 inches Hg
Relative Humidty:93%

Density Altitude: -146 feet
Relative Density: 100.43 %

I'm jealous once again by that sick DA. OH so lucky.

My best without the tune was 12.20. The best with it is the 11.97. Right now though, I've been consistently 12.0's - 12.1's @ 113. Mine definately needs to be tweaked though. There is a lot more in there IMO.

Wait, at what point did you get the manis? Did you ever just have the intake, pulley, and tune (no manis) and run it? (ie Identical setup as me)

No, long story short.....I thought I had the tune when I put the mani's on at MIR last year. Rob and I put the mani's on there. Anthony plugged in to my ecu and there was no tune on the car! ??? No clue why there wasn't, but that was the case. Later I had Anthony install the V2 tune.

So right now you are running the Manis without a corrected tune to account for the extra air? Rob made it sound like it's required to get a custom tune as soon as you install them due to the fact it makes it go lean right away.

Well supposedly this V2 tune IS the correct tune with these mani's, although I'm skeptical of that at this point.

You will have to check your individual results. With my testing the mani's and ypipe increased air flow resulting in increased fuel. My 93 tune actually was very conservative afr wise(11's), we were able to push my 100 tune a little more agressive(12's occasional 13.1).
