Default Mercedes Brembo 4 piston calipers

Hello SRT folks, I was working on a big brake upgrade and ended up with something you all may be interested in. In case you haven't seen the C32 brake thread. While the C32 brakes are a bolt on swap, I ended up getting a great deal on similar calipers from a CL500 which reguired the use of 330mm SRT-6 rotors instead of the 345mm C32 rotors. So if any of you guys would prefer four piston Brembo calipers, they will bolt on with your stock rotors and will work great on your cars. See my last post on the C32 brake thread to see how it is done. These are the calipers your cars should have come with.

KitFox,

Good luck. I have been looking since Lantana started this project and I finally was able to find a set this week. On MBworld anyone who had them thought that the National debt was based upon them as the standard. I found mine on eBay.

Good luck my friend and happy hunting.

Stay safe...

Respectfully,

Paul (MisterTaz)

Ebay seems to be the best source. Just look for calipers that look similar to mine and then check the Brembo site and enter the aplication that the ebay ad mentions. for example if you find some listed for a CLK500, enter that into the berembo site searching for front rotors for a CLK500 and then click on the right year/application and you will see an engineered drawing of the rotor meant for that car. In the case of the CLK500 you find that the rotor is the same part number listed for the C32 which is 345mm in diameter. Mainly what you want is to find a caliper that wil work with either a 330 or 345mm rotor. No matter what you find on Ebay, check the brembo site to verify if it will work with the intended rotors.

Never mind/checked the size.

Nice to see someone jump on this.

Not sure how much bigger the SL55 brakes are, but my buddy with the C55 didn't upgrade because the 16" DR's were using wouldn't clear. This was a rotor and all upgrade.

I looked at the various SL calipers and based on the size of the rotors they are intended for, I do not believe they are conpatable with our cars.
