yeah, i was looking at this one in march. however, i found another one in the scranton, pa. area with less miles (39) and 4k cheaper. the good sales mgrs at mr. lane's weren't too interested in bargaining (or competing) 6 weeks ago. it's sometimes mystifying that car dealers don't look at kbb or other leading value markers. oh well, love my new black srt-6...

Its not. Harry lane has had this car since new. His new car dealership is closing and he moved it to his used car lot that he still has. Last time I looked it was 28,995. Last I heard he it sounds like he's ready to deal. I'd be nice to see a member get it!

Thats likely an auction car, I think that there were a few people on here who could look up the vin and tell you what the auction sale price was. I think most of those sold to the dealers at around 18K at auction. I'd offer him $1k over his auction price and walk away if he isn't interested in a 1K profit, my guess is you will buy this car at a very good price, under $22K. If it was dark grey I would have bought!

Nope, Lee would know....I sent them an email Lee, we shall see how interested he is in a trade. That's all I can do right now. Doesn't sound promising if he is closing the Chrysler dealerships though...so we will keep looking...see you this fall buddy....

the black srt-6 that i recently purchased was an overstock unit. that's how the scranton, pa. chrysler dealer picked it up. both harry lane and the scranton, pa. dealer i ended up going with had their cars for awhile and had similar inservice dates for the 3/36 (my black one had less miles and more time). this is, however minor between two very similar cars, a consideration by all parties involved in a competing deal. i'm an extended warranty/max care kinda guy. harry lane was more entrenched (mid-march) in their position (ie; this was nearly a 50k car new...price guides/realities of 2009 auto business aside). the dealer i went with was obviously more motivated to work a standard offer/counter-offer deal with me. These two cars are of the last (what? maybe a handful left in the country?) less than 300 mile srt-6's available through a chrysler dealer. The dealers may or may not have known this, as i didn't bring it up for obvious reasons. i think along the same lines as keith martin...a car is worth what the market dictates.

Needless to say, I'm very happy to have purchased one of those few and parked it in my garage. and i'm sure it's happy to be in california.

He's had this car for at least 2yrs. that I know of. He had it on the showroom floor when I purchased mine in Aug. of 07. Also. HUUDOO looked at this one when he bought his graphite coupe and Bill looked at it when he totaled his, but Harry would not deal, so Bill went elsewhere. Good luck Doc, your not tradin your roadster, are you?

That's way too much, I picked mine up a couple months ago, $19K with 4,200miles on it. I know the miles are low, but it's still a 2005. But then again, there are some collectors out there. -Steve

If I had the money in the bank - heck, who am I kidding? - if I wasn't still paying for mine, I wouldn't even blink on this one. I'd just call them and give them my address to deliver it. I wanted a SSB one in the first place, but all I could find within driving distance was a black one.

If I lived near by I would buy it. Mine is an 06 and I paid $35,000 in june 2008. I got more value with my purchase than any other car I've purchased in my life. I surmise someone will be willing to pay what is being asked if only because it's "new" If I didn't already have one I would buy it and ship it here.

which, in your area steve, is market value for a private party deal.

according to major price guides (kbb, for example), this chrysler dealer should be willing to take 23k for this car and be happy with it.
