Maybe my first 0-60 run was a fluke but I ran a 3.91. Later in the day my thermometer said 99-100 degrees and my best 0-60 was 4.21. 1/4 mile at that temp was 12.60 at 115mph. I'll take 4.20's and 12.60's on a 100 degree day! Not to mention the humidity was high also. This is a great toy. I'm going to take it on a roller coaster or two since it is wireless.

Those readings are probably right I ran a 4.2 on stock tires with really bad wheel spin through first and second and my wife in the car. 3.9 with 115 should be a 11.XX pass

How do u configure and find out your HP reading? I cant find the menu where i have to input details to get an accurate reading of my HP. How does this even work, do u do a 0-60? How accurate is it?

you put in your weight and the min and max speed you want it to calculate hp from; due a 0-60 or 1/4 mile run and it figures your hp from how fast you were able to push 3500lbs to get that time.

Pretty sure that covers it. I don't have an answer for accuracy, for mine always seemed low. Maybe someone else can chime in on that one.

The meter is now $19.99.

Bad news: The vendor is in CA so I have to pay sales tax.

More bad news: The cheapest shipping is $7.00.

Good news: The vendor is not too far from me so I'll order the meter in a couple of days and do a will call pick up Sat. Hopefully the price will not go up before I order.

Thumbs up Re: Nice performance meter for only $29.95

mrphotoman,

this a helpful thread you started. Good for you.

I bought one too, and it compares very well with the Nitrod unit I bought last year. The Nitrod is more useful because of it's ability to read/delete DTC's and realtime engine info. But for that price, it should!

Keep up the good work!

let me up the font size for you, hope it helps....

I formerly owned a gtech RR which had more features but I could not stand the cord on it so I actually prefer this one.

If I want to datalog my car I will hook my laptop up to the car with my OBDII scanner and have a much more powerful tool.

I understand about the laptop, but how big are the suction cups to hold it to the windshield? They must be really big?

I hope I spelled everything correctly-I can't see a thing...

Got mine Monday. Great deal but then I saw they reduced the price by 10 bucks. Should have waited another day, I suppose. Tried to make a 1/4 mile run but all these darn people in LA kept getting in my way.

So, does anyone know the weight on the roadster?

I'll have to try the 0-60 this afternoon.

Thanks for the heads up on this fun little toy. I broght it in to work and 3 other guys have already ordered theirs.

Cheers!

Our srt is stock. The best I have done is 4.8, but I have had several 5's and 5.1's. I programmed the weight at 3450 lbs for the car (3250) and me.
I have to work on my launch.
I haven't done the quarter mile yet, since I have to drive way out of town to find a spot to start the run from a dead stop.
This is a fun little gadget.
