Used supercharger
Well my SRT-6 is getting a new supercharger next week due to the pulley rattling. $7500 for new one. Should I request the broken part back and if so would it be worth anything. I have heard people say that you can fix the pulley if that is what it is. What do you think?
Since you are having it replaced under warranty you may not have the option of retaining the old, broken SC. If they let you I would keep it anyways...no matter what the problem turns out to be...keep it because you never know what you may need it for.
...at least ask... what's the worst they can do, say 'no'

Question: If the pulley is bad, why don't they just replace the pulley? Is there something actually wrong with the supercharger? A couple people had these issues and I don't recall it ever really being a problem with the blower itself. I think ACRUcracy had this issues but it was with the C3 pulley.

I remember someone saying it is because Chrysler doesn't know what it is doing with these cars. MB would just rebuild it. Hey, at least I get a brand new one for $100.00. Hope I get a new belt also...
