OH BOY, nothing good can come of this.
Installed the Code3 pulley and the SVO cold air intake today. Took it out just in the driveway. Holy schnikeys, I hope I'll be able to keep my license. Only 53 degrees with a cool engine and it wants to light the tires at 1/8 throttle. I may have to buy stock in MICHELIN tires.
How high can these cars go in boost or HP safely on 92 octane pump fuel? Don't want to see any deto or HP loss with timing being pulled away.
Am I going to need to close the gap on my plugs?
Speaking of plugs, has anyone tried a dual ground electrode plug in this engine to pick up some power? We run them in out four stroke Yamaha snowmobiles and 550 HP turbo charged grass drag sleds with great success. I believe they make more power due to the spark being open to the combustion chamber. Also no need or reason to index with them.

Close the gap???
What could that do???
Iam going up to 25 psig with 93 octane and doing ok so far, tomorrow I hope to get back on the dyno to see the resulting gain(s)

I have a dashdaq and the most boost I've seen with my Code 3 is 17.9 but most of the times it's in the mid 16 range. I can't go 100% throttle in first or second gear. When the tires start slipping the car shifts early to save my neck so I still don't know what it feels like to reach redline in first or second gear under full throttle. I still have the stock tune and plugs. So far the only complaint I have is traction related.

Prevent spark blowout at the higher boost level. I don't know how good the ign. is on this car. Somewhere in my post reading and searching, I read that someone had to tighten the gap to get performance back. It's quite common on boosted setups when increasing boost keeping the candles lit and producing power. It's always best to light the fire and get a complete burn! Even using MSD ign. on our boosted 550 HP turbo sled requires gaps down at .018" or below. Any more gap than that, RPM's and boost and performance falls off.
for higher boost levels, brandon from code3 recommended me to gap mine to .034, which i did.
boost levels can go up in the 20s depending on your pulley and intake setup, but i would recommend a tune, especially if you ever decide to upgrade to a 181 or 185mm crank pulley to run safely.

KnappAttack,
Welcome to the family from a fellow MN member. I don't think you could have found a nicer SRT6 convertible in this state. Glad to hear you're already getting into the power adders. PM me if you'd like to be able to keep an eye on your engines vitals and have fun with the new car.
ACRucrazy,
Get your stuff taken care of and quick so you can buy another one before they start going back up in price and still hope meet you at one of the summer G2G's.

I wouldn't worry to much all i have is intake and pulley and i was reading11.2-10.8 afr which is safe just a little to rich for Cats and o2 sensors longevity wise.

Pushing near 25#s here.
No "blow out" happening. I think your talking much older ignition systems than we're running these days.

Our ignitions are different, there is the opportunity for tremendous DWELL time, and thus a BIG spark. With 6 coil packs the coils have a very low duty cycle and are therefore more energetic.
Montana: I guess that with you 25# comment that you are also using a 185 pulley?? Just wondered and I believe that your using a single CAI design??

Single SVO intake and the code 3 pulley I purchased from ACRucrazy when I bought the car. No gauges nor do I intend to add them. It's a sleeper street going roadster for the wife and I on those sunny weekends. It sure dosn't look like a 12 second car! I would like to lower it but I really don't want to mess up the allignment. The back wheels already make the car look overloaded.
