if you are set on a blown v-6 maybe try looking at the slk32. hardtop and convertible in 1 with the original amg motor that the srt-6 has in it. the cost has come way down and some low mileage rides are being sold for under 20 k

i used carfax and tons of fotos from the seller. i then had him take the car to a m/b dealer for a buyers inspection and i paid for it so the report was faxed to me. after that it was price negotiation. i believe thats all you can do with a used car local or far away. everything checked out so i jumped on it. with cash in hand i bought a 2002 slk32 with 36,000 miles 2 sets of wheels and 2 radios for $16,750!!!
just remember if you get a 32 buy stock in lemons. you will need mucho sour taste to get the smile off your face!!!!!!!

Wise man once said don't be penny wise and dollar foolish.

If you are financing it the 3k difference is only about 15 dollars a week.

Vechicle is mint. I just picked up the CLK55 AMG so I do not need it anymore.

still a toy. the biggest item that depreciates is a car. whether its a chevy pos or a m/b it still goes down in value. that is why they should never be financed. not trying to start a war just my .02

If that was the case I would have never owned a car(worthwhile). 42 and counting.

I did pay cash for my toy 66 4x4 Chevy PU.
Would love to have an extra XFire as a toy if some one wants to trade for my Truck?
My garage is about full now with the Harley too.
