0-60 times
i know we get 5.0 stock which does not make sence since the 270z is quicker..but anyhow my question is after cold air intake, um lets say 178 crank, and a tune what would our 0-60 time be..i always wanted to know that ....does anybody know? thanks, nick
Its safe to say that with the 178, nw intake, and inmotion tune you'll be quicker than most. It's probably high 3's to low 4's, with every hundredth of a second making a huge difference. Spinning in 1st gear for 5 seconds won't help though.
Just having a little fun in the street testing REV's 0-60 feature.
Pretty cool as it reads the actual speed of the car and only starts when the car moves. Laid down a best of 4.37 with Glen in the car and wheelspin!! Glen's car laid down a 4.38 best. Not to shabby considering the combined weight was 465 pounds! On the track, I expect in the 3.9's.

178 pully; needswing CAI; innmotion tune; STR6 roadster 0-60 4.16 sec with my accelerometer for best time with stock Conti tires
Easy low 4s i think, maybe even high 3s. Its amazing how quick these cars can be, i have a few friends with modded ricer cars and they all struggle from a dig, there power is only useful on a roll. I was having some fun with a 600hp supra tonight and he was unable to beat me but i was unable to lose him! We never got a proper run side by side but i was amazed after he told me he had a single turbo producing 375kw at the wheel. I dont understand why a car like this isnt smoking me???

I rode in my friends maxed out Supra with 455 rwHp It has blistering acceleration once the turbo spools up. He can set the boost pressure to 50#'s (I think). Supra owners like those rolling starts you get in street racing. I offered him a steak dinner if he will race me in the 1/8 mile strip near my house. He most likely will take on the challenge but doesn't seem overly confident. He is doing more modifications that will give him a quick start and make the turbo spin at lower rpms. Amazingly, with all that HP the car still won't spin tires. Its a wild ride. You go from wondering if the car is stalled and needs a push to having your head plastered to your seat. Then when he lets off the gas the waste gate makes an explosion noise and you are left feeling amazed, scared, and puzzled - all at the same time. The entire experience seems unnatural. I have owned three turbo cars and won't own another one because I now know the difference. I think my almost stock SRT-6 will give him a good run in a short sprint from zero.
Hey Laecer------did u ever get to the track? I'd love to know what you do in the 1/4...I'll assume the same as me. We're the same except that I have the sprint booster, which shouldn't make a difference. I'm heading to the lakeside sprints on the 27th if ur up for it as well.
Side note:
I encountered a Jeep Cherokee SRT8 today.
HOLY CRAP.
Until today I didn't know
A) That they existed
B) That they are faster than us stock.
And that on a very large car.
seriously WOW.

Jeep SRT8s because of their 4wd drive launch outright instead of spinning their tires. I believe they are the fastest 0 - 60 of the SRT8 family.
At the SRT Track Experience we were warned not to put a camera up to our faces when taking off in the Jeep else we risked the camera slamming into our faces at launch.
