I watched that video and I think you have a chance. The straights are long and the corners sweeping. You may want to switch to racing brake fluid before hitting the track though. Otherwise the car should be good to go. I think you may shock a few people.

Ahhh, I miss my S2k. It doesn't have torque yet is still quite fun to drive. I've never driven a car with as smooth of a transmission (the shifts are pure silk, and very short). It tracks incredibly well too- it feels to be a very close ratio steering, ie very little input turns the car a lot!
On a road course with more turns than straights it wouldn't be a surprise to see an S2k smoke an SRT-6. The SRT-6 handles well, but not great- it achieves excellent track times due to it's blisteringly fast straights.
PS Here's a shot of my Rio Yellow Pearl 05 S2k

when i talked with the guys at the driver edge they said to run stock if thats what you run daily, unless you are only taking the car to the track, run it stock.
better tires will just mask all the mistakes that you can/will make the first couple of visits, same goes for any suspension work
i personally would not recommend a first timer buying race tires or any suspension work.
Cory,
I agree that I shouldn't spend money for my first time on the track. However, the suspension has been bothering me since I bought the car. Like I said, the car is overpowered for the suspension. Koni shocks make a huge difference. That is the only mod I plan to make. I just want to make a respectable showing in the curves. The car will do all the work in the straights. I am keeping the engine stock.

Either way, you're still good in my book.
