Hi J-Fire, man, been there too. Any chance of mediation to keep the freakin' lawyers out of it? That was the best thing my wife of 20 years and I ever did, except make some good kids,
but really, after a year you'll be alot better. Give yourself time to heal, dating others is not a really good idea until after the first year because you really can't be present for them, nor for yourself, so take the time and develop a friendship for female companionship. I was split 8 years ago, made a best friend and married her 5 years later. BTW, stand your ground and don't let the feelings of just getting this out of the way make you give up too much financially-it's easy to happen. PM me if you want to chat. Best of luck to you! You'll be fine. Actually, you already are, you'll just feel that way more in time! Mark

And, the price is exceptional. But ,
Parting with $16K for a second, (or third) Crossfire ain't so easy right now.
Back six, ten months agio there were Srt's in the $16-18K range when people still had faith in the future and some money to spend. Still, those cars sat overripe on the vine for 4 to 6 months. If I remember, Brazilian had his up for almost a year.
A hard word to swallow right now, but patience. Remember, just about everybody here already has their Crossfire in the garage.

Regarding the patience reference...
Franc, you remember me and you talking about the patience that I was trying to exercise in buying one? I think the stars may have aligned.
I'm not at 100% stockpile level, but maybe (just maybe) close enough to strike.

Good luck
the stress alone is worse than the monetary aspect.

Shame the two of you had to lawyer up on the split - sorry waste of money - but just go for what's fair and move on. Better and happier things ahead. Believe me.
All the best.

+1 to all for the inspiration to stay single. I'm all for that after seeing everyone tear each other up.
Good luck with the sale...I'm kinda stuck with the Limited I have now...as much as I would love an SRT....Just can't financially atm.

And I'd love to have a Crossfire all juiced up like that. Sure hate to see a man get whacked so bad by the lawyers.
Dang.
Good luck, j-fire.

J-Fire,
Once you do sell this car, and you will most assurredly, I have a suggestion.
Take some of the money and buy your ex a gift.
No Seriously.
I have just the thing too,
a smoke alarm with a snooze button.

anyways, a good laugh is always good for the soul.
thanks everyone for your support and cheering me up!
Geez, I figured it would be sold by now...sorry J-Fire, I have an old '95 Jeep that qualifies as a "Clunker" and I want to take advantage of the gov't bail out...Jeep's worth about $800 and I can get $4500 for it...So I am looking at a Genesis Grand Touring Coupe right now, if that falls thru, moving to another Mazda 6. Selling my wife's Mazda 6 to son #2...and giving son #3 son #2's clunker...just a wheelin' and dealin' but I would to own yours...seriously, but got to do what's best for the boys right now...
Dude, it is amazing how people who supposedly once loved eachother and even tried to reconcile, can turn into bitter enemies. I don't understand how someone can do that! I went through a divorce several years ago, but luckily, she denied all rights to anything because she knew it was her who wanted the big D. Sorry to hear this and as others have stated, you'll come out happy in the end. Good luck!
Sorry to hear about the big 'D.' As others have stated, all things shall pass.
What you might want to do with the car is take it back to bone stock (essentially) and sell all of the add-ons separately. When it comes to used cars, it seems that many folks are not concerned with the mods and/or would rather modify to their own taste.
Either way, good luck.

Let Laura have the 'Vert and she will maybe take over the waxing chore. Black is such fun to keep up. Hard to keep up with though,
Still, if you want to race, SSB is faster. Everybody knows that.
