Default SRT-6 vs RS-4???

I get the pleasure of seeing and sometimes hooking up with some great cars as I leave work. I work on an ARMY base/arsenal and there are some really nice cars, past and present models, that are coming and going. I came up on a Audi RS4 at lunch today, in front of me at the exit line, and thought it looked pretty nice from the rear. Upon exiting the base, got a look at the side and overall appearance, and didn't think it had much to really even bother throwing an exhaust note his way. He turned at the next intersection and gave it a little romp to get my attention and then was off. I thought it said V6 on the side and it was quite, like ours, until he gave it some throttle, which did sound a bit like a turbo. I looked it up, being as I was unaware of what the RS models were equipped with, and guessed it to be the biturbo-V6 375hp version. It looked alot like the newer version however, but the facts say otherwise. I would like to run him through a spirited couple of gears , and was just curious if anyone has already experienced this setup or has an opinion of said run.

I believe the new rs4's are v8 and awd. With the mods in your sig, and assuming he's stock, you should smoke him. I believe they are high 12's stock. They are very nice cars.

I learned when I first brought the buggy home that, at least around Auburn, you don't mess with Audi's.

There is an Audi-specific race/tuning shop here in town that does some amazing things with them.

APR - High Performance Development for Audi, VW and Porsche Vehicles.

MySpace.com - GoAPR.com - 27 - Female - AUBURN, ALABAMA - myspace.com/aprtuned

Yeah, the last ones were a v8 with around 420hp. There's a guy around here with an RS6 that I've seen a couple of times. They sound awesome, just not what you'd expect from a v8 though.

Yeah, B7 RS4's are beautiful cars, awd, manual, and 420 hp. That said, they're relatively slow in a straight line. B5 RS4's never came to the U.S., but many B5 S4's have been upgraded to RS4 specs - they're quick, no question.

The 2003 RS6 sedan was also an amazing piece of work for the time, 450 hp biturbo V8, tiptronic, awd... but (as you might expect) HEAVY.
