Default ABS/TSC Fuse and Limp Mode? I'm stumped

This weekend we had a dyno day at my buddy's shop so I setup the car as usual which includes removing the fuse for the ABS/TSC...well I momentarily lose the nut that tightens down the connection. So I ran around town for about a day with out the fuse hooked up.

Well, later on that night after dinner the car goes into Limp Mode. There was a slight surge (but not as noticeable as the Pump failure surge) and then the usual loss of power. I drive a bit more and the S/C kicks back on only to loose power again. Shut the car off, turn it back on no problem and the S/C is on but it then looses power going back into Limp Mode. Well I find the nut and connect the ABS/TSC fuse, go out testing on the interstate and the car stops going into Limp Mode.

Anyone know why when you have that fuse disconnected that it would go into Limp Mode about 10 minutes after you start driving it around? It wasn't really grounded properly but that would be my only guess

Which wire did you pull? I'm interested in the answer to your question, though.

You should be pulling fuse #17 and 18, from the engine bay fuse box when on the dyno (or any other time you want to totally disengage ABS/ESP). When these fuses are pulled, you will get the ABS/ESP lights on the dash, the systems will not engage, but nothing elses should be impacted. I drive my car like this very often. Not sure what connector you pulled to have lost a fastener nut.

Did anyone bother to check the date of the post? It's over 5 years old.
