Josh - the hoosiers that I gave Hooley were passed to Mikey but he never mounted them. Find some 16's and ask Mikey to use them for the day.

It would probably be easiest if you find a helmet on craigslist. Just check the stamp. I'll post a list of approved stamps. ex, DOT, SA2000, SA2005

Yes tighe1 if you run below 13.99 a helmet will be required. Were getting you into the 11's in the night session so bring what you have. I'll see what I can borrow. I'll post up some hotel information later this week.

wow....those Hoosiers get around! lol ..... 16x8? or 16x7.5?

EDIT: searching craigslist for rims now.....cant seem to come up with any 16x8 or 16x7.5 that are 112mm x 5

so as far as the approved stamp...it needs to be DOT, SA2000, AND SA2005? or just one of those?

Yea they sure did. They were too worn for me but they didn't think so. I'll get an updated list of helmet stamps.

On the wheels mine are 16x7's and the tire size is 255/50-16's. Most old MB wheels will work without spacers and not rub. I use some just so I don't have to keep another set of lugs around.

Helmet Ratings are as follows. Still lots of cheap helmets out there with these ratings.

Do I need a helmet, and if so, what kind?
A helmet is required for the driver of any car or truck running 13.99 seconds or quicker in the quarter mile, and for the rider of any motorcycle. Most drivers can use a helmet meeting SNELL K98, M2000, SA2000, M2005, or SA2005 specifications. Professional category and some alcohol burning vehicles require an SA rated helmet. It is important to note that the helmet rating must be designated on a tag INSIDE the helmet, or sewn to one of the helmet straps. The designation stenciled on the exterior of the helmet is insufficient for NHRA technical inspection. Also, some tracks require a helmet on ALL drivers, so check in advance.

I'm jealous!
You staying for the night runs?
I think I will since Evan volunteered to let me try his slicks for my 11 sec attempt.
I might have to think about doing the hotel thing if it goes too late cuz it's about a 4 hour drive.

Is your Camaro friend going again?

Just find me and I'll get them tech'd doesn't matter how late. Usually it ends around 11pm on Saturday nights.

Gate opens at 9am

For the morning session everybody should get there no later than 10am. So we all have a chance to tech and get a quick lesson on bracket racing. Lane call, exit lane, ticket booth, reaction times, qualifying, all the good stuff.

First qualifying is probably going to start around 10:30am to 11am. We will all get 3 qualifying runs. Qualifying order will be determined by best reaction times.

There will be a test n tune lane to run all you want for those that lose in the early rounds. We should wrap up around 4pm-5pm. Then down till 6pm till the night session begins and runs until 11pm.

Same as normal. Under 11.50 with no cage will get booted. They will come to me and issue a warning for that car. We will have some special privilege but once abused after a warning they are done. For the night session we may get some special runs for those that want to run all out. Can't promise but if owner is in town he will give us ok. This will not happen for the day race though. So for anyone that may run below 11.50's I'm telling them to wait for famoso.

I guess that rules out my buddy and his C5...............he was hoping to get into the 9's(with no cage).

Yea he's going to need a private rental for that one. Tell him to get in the Famoso one. That's pretty much the only track that will allow him to run that deep with no cage.

No I didn't text me his number. Unless he can get a cage I don't think it's worth it for him to come down. He's way too fast.
