Angry SRT 6 Prices - arrrg

My son just informed me he was on Auto Trader today and saw some inexpensive SRT 6 Coupes. I thought he was going to tell me they were under 17K. When he told me they were under 16K and all of them had low mileage, I had to check for myself. Yep there were 3 within 50 miles of Houston, all at $15,999 and they had 33K, 24K and 16K miles on the odometer in descending order.

Good for someone else, bad for us current owners -arrrg

$18,898, 13,352 miles

None even close...only 3 calls so far, best offer was $16k. Looks like I will be keeping it....think about selling the Charger, and still getting the 335i.

I think it's a reflection of the economy and the time of year. Used cars are hot right now but they are looking for cars & SUV's that can seat at least 4 and pickup trucks. Not 2-seater performance cars.

we just had our (central california) annual new car show in fresno and all of the major manufacturers were represented. i paid under 25k for each of my srt's new and nothing comes close to them in build quality or engineering, not to mention overall presence at that price. and 2010 is weeks away. as a car guy, it was pretty depressing.

i look at it as half-full. you get great power, manueverability in traffic, and the coupe's very useful hatch. i'll be hanging onto my two for a long time...keeping the mileage down on each.

My kids may be concerned about the price of my house ,,,not me, I'm not moving EVER,, but my xfire now that is a price concern, well the mods i put on it is anyway, as for the car itself i plan on keeping it until one of us die either me of the car. so i guess i am not concerned about either. but if the price of a srt gets low, low, low then i can get maybe one or two more ,,,with 3, i can always keep one running. jim

Hmmm. Might be time to start looking for another graphite or a machine gray SRT6. $15-18k for a $45k supercharged sports car is real attractive.

yep, when my jeep goes off lease next summer, I am buying a coupe...so the price drop is good for me...the roadsters seem to be holding in there better...so that is a good thing for me...but I will own another one...
