Second of all this pump flows much more then the walbro 255 and the sl55 pump, everyone is looking for the fueling cure right? Well here it is! I will be selling one to a customer that I know is in need of one and I will have them post up there experience with install and how well it worked. Install is very simple and I am sure you will be happy with the finished product. This is what we do provide good quality products that work.
The pump I listed is not what you state above, it is the actual MB SL55 AMG pump, infact you will need a Vin# from an SL55 before they ship it to you. Plus the AMG pump also flows 300lph.

My track opens up in 3 weeks. I am working on getting some 13lb CLk wheels and drag radials right now. I will have to wait a bit for any other mods. I will post results once I get to the track. I am expecting some pretty good numbers. Thanks as always.

EUROCHARGED when you say tuning tweaks are you refering to backing the injectors off a bit or adding a return style system with adjustable 1:1 FPR? If i we are going to spend $350 for the pump this is something we need to know up front.

FWIW, i really hope this pump does work to solve lean issues. The real test will be on a 185mm equipped car in cold weather boosting 21-25psi and experiencing 17+AFR(my old setup). If it cured that without making the bottom end and midrange pig rich i think ill be purchasing one.

For those of you that did not realize it the factory fuel pump puts out up to 130PSI. It is documented in the service manual and I saw it first hand tonight after I installed my pressure regulator with pressure gauge tonight. I do not understand how putting a bigger fuel pump on with out doing something to the factory pressure regulator and return will net you any gain. It seems to me if you put out more pressure it would just dump the excess back into the tank. If I am wrong I would love to have some one explain it to me please.

How long has it been since you've had your 185 and were having those lean issues? I thought you were running around with a Code3 this past year.

To those that have used the SL55 Fuel pump was tweaking to the tune needed? Or was it a complete plug & play operation?

Its been over a year since the 185 and there were no viable solutions(that didnt run pig rich down low) so i swapped to the code 3 pulley and never had another lean issue. So much for it being a hardware issue(other than the big pulley). Others are lean at 14 afr, well mine was at 17+. At the time i was the only one with this issue, that is no longer the case. Quite peculiar actually.

If you read it puts out 130 dead head which is the most pressure it can build with no flow.

Pump is plug and play. Tweaking of tune is needed as most guys with tunes have injector duty cycles close to static to try and correct for the lack of fuel delivery. The SL55 pump supplies more fuel so you need to scale back duty cycles to get AFR correct.

Thanks. That means if I want to pursue this option I need to do some data logging and I guess have Eurocharged send me their programmer so I can update my tune.

It's only when the demand of the injectors (either bigger injectors or 100% duty cycle, i.e. "static") outstrips the capability of the pump is when you will see a benefit. You are correct in stating that the excess will be dumped back into the tank - during a low-demand situation. But put in a giant "leak" (monster injectors running static etc) then you will see pump delivery (and pressure) fall off and thus the need for more pump.

The sl55 pump discussion died off in my other thread. I was sent the flow charts and found them a bit confusing, but it appears the Walbro flows similarly, worst case scenario 2 walbros will support 1000hp, for about $200. Next is the FPR issue. I am REALLY looking forward to seeing everyones results.
Here is the flow chart showing (in order of increasing performance):

Stock Airtex replacement E8289
Stock Pierburg 7.22156.50.0
Walbro 255 LPH GLS392
Bosch 044 (413)
Pierburg SL55 AMG 360 LPH 7.00228.51.0

Anything above the Walbro GSL 392 is overkill, in my opinion. It is good for 600 hp (60 gph at 60 psi).
