As most of you know, I've sold the SRT6. It just wasn't practical anymore now that I live in the snow/rust belt. I have too many vehicles to be carting around while still in the military and moving often. I have my wife's 4Runner, my 1965 Chevelle, an F150, and the custom Triumph bobber (which requires tons of maintenance and attention).
It's been fun and I must say that this is the best automotive forum I've ever known. You guys rock! I hate to see the car go, but I know it will be taken care of. A car guy bought it who just sold an AMX Hornet. I told him about you guys and he's been lurking. The car should get picked up sometime very soon and will be living (and happier) in a warmer climate.
I'll still lurk. I like watching the progression of aftermarket goodies and the things you guys have been able to come up with. I'll be using the funds to finally properly build my '65 that I've had since the age of 15.
Picked up a new truck too to haul said bike and '65. Thing rides like a luxury car and can pull a 9500lb trailer with the options I ordered.
Cheers guys!
Dan

Dan - sorry to see you go but I have a feeling I'll/we'll be seeing you anyway in the spring, hopefully with your Chevelle. Don't forget about us (your Burtonsville buds)

well, thanks for your service, and the '65 was a great, and fast little car in it's own right...I rode around in one a lot as a teenager....good luck, drop in and show us your progress from time to time...
Hate to see you go buddy but I know the '65 is something you've been wanting to finish for a long time.
Sharp truck, btw. I was a Ford truck owner for nine years, loved it.

Dan,
Sorry to see you go. Hope you come back and post up every once in a while.
Nice truck. Hope you got a good deal, I know they are giving lots of rebates on them these days with all the MPG talk going on...If I bought a truck, I would get a Ford SVT Raptor... Ford is doing some good things with its trucks these days.
Good luck with everything you do. God Bless.

Good Luck to ya Dan, and keep us informed on your Chevy's progress.
I too spent a great deal of time in my friend's white 65 Chevelle, (until an old lady pulled out in front of him and totaled it in 1969).
We'll be lookin forward to meeting your Crossfire's new owner.

I used to be a Chevy guy until I sat in a Ford a long time ago during my shopping for a Chevy truck. Since then, I've owned four F-150s and a Mustang GT. Honestly, I've never driven anything quite like this 2010 F-150. It's a paradox really. Part luxury car, part sports car (stretching it a bit), and a pick up truck.
For anyone who can use it, I used the USAA car buying program. It's quite amazing. No haggling, no mess. 4500 under INVOICE! They partner with select dealers who agree to start the prices at least 500 under invoice. Then, on top of that, they include any and all incentives offered by the mfr.
So yes, great deal!
Here's a pic of the Chevelle in it's current state along with the bobber:

I'll be hangin' around for sure guys.
Thanks for the kind words and the SRT6 will remain as one of the nicest cars I've ever had the pleasure of owning. Hopefully, I'll be able to get another one some day if there are still some good ones around.

That is a nice F-150. Looking at the picture, everywhere you look it is like a piece of sculpted art. From the hood, to the grill, to the wheels, and on and on. Congrats on the new ride.

Don't completely go away...we want to know how the progress on the 65 is going.
