On your other question, yes the hardware/software is ungodly expensive. We have over 50k invested so far, and we are buying more soon.

Tuning w AEM and the like is night and day between the mercedes source code. I wish it was honestly easier. It is quite an effort just to find the correct maps to change fueling and the like, and thats after having the correct read maps as it is.

Star is a fun toy, nevertheless and DEV mode makes it even cooler to change options on the car and troubleshoot problems.
Have you had a chance to talk to Jerry. I thought you guys were gonna give em a call about the unit.

Well I got the StarDAS system and started tinkering with it. Lots to learn and German is the top priority. Thanks to a certain member for hooking me up with a developer key. I'm making a cheat sheet of all the menus with German -> English translation. Not an easy task but when it's finished, should help out greatly.

Rudy, good to hear, keep us updated on if you are going to allow partial 'buy-ins' of some sort. With this stuff going on with the car right now, I think it is wise to invest in anything that could be a necessity down the raod that may be hard to locate at a later date....
