Talking Videos from the Track

Friday I was at the track testing out my new mods to my fuel system and was Disappointed. Wed I was running 12.3's and friday my best time was a 12.6. I did get a couple of good video's though thanks to Kimpossible and Chuck. I hope I do this right if not I will keep trying.

Vids not working. XRay, sorry to hear about your times. I know you are expecting to be in the 11s, and with your mods, you definitely should be. I certainly hope you figure out what is keeping you from getting there.

I can watch the videos which are very good if I do say so myself! You must have an awesome camera woman!

We should chalk the outside of your tires so we can check your wheel spin at launch on the video. Now we need to get more of the locals to come out and play!

You're using the html code... these php forums don't really mate well with html. That's why the URL is visible, but not in a nice neat little package.

**EDIT** I tried a direct URL link to our media player...Apparently our media formatting won't accept it either... this file is a .flv file (flash video).... grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr

It's under a blanket of 2" of ice at the moment... breaks my heart.

I've been driving the Beast (Riviera) the past three days... Not a single spin-out or loss of control, even driving home from Kim's house last night @ midnight when the streets were solid ice. I keep wanting to sell that car, but DANG it's nice having a backup vehicle that you don't care if it gets destroyed...

Not to mention, my Crossfire is running summer PS2's in the rear... Can we say tail-happy?

Did you datalog your runs? How did your AFRs look? Do you think your leaning issues are resolved? Thanks

Thanks again to Kim for the great camera work.
My rt lane 60 ft was 1.71 and the left lane I spun a little and had a
1.84 60ft. I gotta watch those 2000 rpm launches

I have a added a pair of solenoids to my boost line going back to the pressure regulator. They are controlled by my Ztronic because at lower RPM thanks to the SC building boost so quick I was really running rich below 5100 rpm's afr's in the low 10's and then leaning out at the top about 13.2.
I moved the regulator to the back af the car and did not bring my jack so I could not make adjustments. The solenoids did a good job of leveling my afr's out I was in the high 11's to mid 12's on the low end but my starting pressure was to low so it was hitting mid 14's on the top end. Rob is the one who came up with the solenoid idea and it looks like it is going to work but I think I am going to go ahead with the walbro fuel pump for the additional volume so that I should not need so much pressure. I would like to get it rich on the top and bottom so that I could get retuned and turn down the duty cycle on my Injectors. If someone would tell me how to do a screen shot of my desktop I would be happy to post some of my logs.

I was going to mention your 60ft times until you just listed them above. A 1.71 is a great 60' so that's not the issue.

How is your 8th ET and MPH looking? Mine is strong through the 8th but fall flat somwhere between the 1/8 and finishline. I'm trapping at 90 halfway down the track but only 112 at the finish. I think we are both encountering leaning/computer pulling timing at the top of 3rd.

1. Press the Print Screen key on your keyboard. It may be labeled [PrtScn].
2. Open an image editing program, such as Microsoft Paint.
3. Go to the Edit menu and choose Paste.
4. If prompted to enlarge the image, choose Yes.
5. Optional: Use your image editor's crop tool to crop out unnecessary portions of the screen shot.
6. Go to the File Menu and choose Save As.
7. Navigate to the folder where you want to save the image.
8. Type a file name for the image.

Thanks Bmorgan that ended up being the easy part.

Okay the first log is with the base PSI at 65 and was done at the track the 2nd one was done on the street after I got home and bumped up the pressure to 75psi. All right I had to do the photobucket deal again so here are the links.

Two suggestions - First your wasting the dual intake if your not taking off your grill. It appears you have an aftermarket one, and may be more difficult to remove. The removal is good for a tenth at the very least.
Second - keep trying to dial in your tune. 15.0 on the top of 2nd gear and the 15.1 in the middle of 3rd on your datalog can't be good. My best runs have been around 12.2-12.5 across the board. Your rpms and shifts look to be spot on.
Good luck next time out. BTW, that 60' is good for an 11 sec pass.
